It reminds me of 18th century French literature so much, all this Orlesian stuff; I'm getting some very Liaisons Dangereuses vibes from this stuff! I like that very much but I'm hoping the fashions are a bit more inventive and not just copying that era.

I am getting more of a late Italian Renaissance or Venetian vibe from the designs we've seen so far.
Like the carnivals in Venice.

That would be very cool. I definitely love the whole mask thing they've evidently got going. Elaborate headdresses will be fun, too. NO WIGS.

Sam is much hotter.
Sam is a looker, but Dean is just too friggin' perfect. ![]()

What reminds me the most of 18th cent. France though is this "Game" and the way they all try to one up one another; it's the emphasis on wit and ruthlessness.

Hey people.
I'm worried about that FemStrutt. It's super annoying. I hope they listen to the people complaining.
Also worried about hair. <--- really, helmet hair again? !! This is probably my biggest issue. ESP since my second mod ALWAYS is a hair mod. (First is spider)
FemStrutt? Helmet hair? I feel so out of the loop, where did you see these things?

Cassandra was hip-wiggling and sashaying as she ran in that brief clip in the recent video.

Cass beats all, your argument is invalid
Hey now! I am a Cas fan too! So there!
I saw Misha in person at Vancon and he is beautiful!
Jensen is gorgeous too but there's something about what he does to portray Dean that makes the character hotter to me than the actor.

As for the helmet hair, I've yet to see good examples of natural looking flowing hair; Varric's still looks like it's glued to his head. BUT I'm hoping that was just pre-alpha issues ![]()

Ah ok, I see the part you're talking about. Didn't seem like sashaying more just over emphasis on the swinging of her arms to me *shrugs* but I can see why that might be worrisome for those who don't like it. I saw this one mod for Skyrim (oh maker some of these stupid f*cking female mods) that adjusted the way the female PC moves, looked like the poor girl was being attacked by bees the way she was swinging all her limbs around ![]()

True - and very much along the Merteuil & Valmont lines! Though I imagine Venice had much the same sort of decadence & backstabbing going on!
I so want some crazy Orlesian fashion choices for my inquisitors. Emphasis on 'choices'!

They film in here in Vancouver, so perhaps one day i will stumble upon one the sets! Actually one of my buddies did a small role in an episode they filmed recently. I should ask him for some dirt, lol.
DD is all over Dean, but says they're both hot.

I'm not sure about the wigs. Remember, Orlais is all about hairstyles and the more elaborate the better.

Anyone else wondering if we will see a very suave looking Cullen attending any if the functions in that gorgeous ballroom? Dear Maker let him be wearing some not Templar related...like leather
I think that will depend, on the circumstances we'll attend this ball and the type of mission we'll have,if we go there to infiltrate a particular faction and have to disguise ourselves as guests,I doubt he will wear something templar related, otherwise he'll blow our cover.

I get so awestruck thinking about that, and then watching that recent video of the environments. It's just like...sh*t I really get to play that? I'm going to be running around in those forests? It's going to be DRAGON AGE!!!??? I'm taking at least two days off to enjoy it and all its 'preventing me from sleep' glory.
Other random news....I'm getting a new puppy! My boyfriend just let it slip (aka told me since he's rubbish at surprises) that he wanted to get me one for my birthday next month, and to start looking at breeders. Found one yesterday and the litter I'm picking from was born this past Saturday
He's a Saint Bernard and I'm naming him Alistair
I have an american eskimo named Anders. ![]()
