Ah, of course! The rogue Inquisitor!

They suit her character, sure... but I hate them with a passion. And I'm somehow afraid she'll leave the hat on during sex.
You know, I really hope they overstated that food comparison, otherwise I might have to kill her just for the sake of common decency.
I do believe someone said over at twitter that the hat comes off, so... ![]()
I think the food comparisons are more about their personalities translated into food rather than what they would actually eat themselves? Vivienne seems like a very strong woman in an environment where she has to be brutal because that's the way Orlesian politics are. So her personality, if it was a food, would be something brutal but still considered upper class.

But even Morrigan was just bitter dark chocolate, IIRC, and... well, the wiki doesn't say what Zevran had. Vivienne's comparison makes her seem remarkably sadistic, and this is even compared to Morrigan and presumably Zevran.
All!
Spoiler
can someone translate that into English?
From German husband (who is now requesting translation costs from the thread
):
1. The control of the currently active group member is done through a fixed over the shoulder perspective.
2. The outside areas have been already very detailed in the version we've tested and will be nicely illuminated.
3. Varric the dwarf was already present as a companion in Dragon Age 2.
4. Large cities like Denerim from Origins will likely not be present.
5. The animals will be dynamically generated. For example, if all the deer in one area are dead, there won't be any for a while.
6. Dragons have multiple target areas. They are very vulnerable on their head.
7. The Inquisitor can open rifts in the Fade (? "Nichts" is perhaps their word for Fade or Veil?) to summon demons.
8. The elven mage Solas will be one of the newly introduced companions. (definitely doesn't say 'one of two,' as I've seen it translated)
9. These giants are throwing boulders from a distance -- they can be deadly.
10. Dragons are guarding their horde actively which means they are flying patrol rounds.
4. Large cities like Denerim from Origins will likely not be present.
So no Val Royeaux, possibly meaning we don't have to screw around with the Orlesian civil war?
7. The Inquisitor can open rifts in the Fade (? "Nichts" is perhaps their word for Fade or Veil?) to summon demons.
Holy blap.
So this interests me: 4. Large cities like Denerim from Origins will likely not be present.
El Husbando assures me it says will NOT be present. ![]()

True, but Morrigan was never really in a situation or environment that made her have to be particularly cut throat. Her relationship with her mother was harsh, but until the Warden came around she had never really ventured out into the world except to Lothering. So I think the bitter dark chocolate suits her because she has no reason to be something more... brutal? She could definitely pass some brutal judgements/not want to help people because why should she, but I imagine Vivienne is actively involved in a much, much more brutal environment (in a political sense, at least.)

Brutal... in a remarkably ostentatious and even pretentious sense. It appears to be sadism for the sole purpose of being edgy. None of this seems attractive.
Also, her lips are huge and distracting.

I took it to mean extreme decadence. And Orlesian-iness. And ruthlessness. Most of which generally puts me off a character, but it remains to be seen if they can pull it off well and still make her likeable. But she might just end up being a character people love to hate.
The news about the cities is a bit strange.
The first line incomplete, though since there are single lines the article might talk about the TC.
Not sure what you mean here? If something's missing I can ask him again. What is TC?
Possibly. So no Val Royeaux, possibly meaning we don't have to screw around with the Orlesian civil war?

That doesn't necessarily mean we won't go to Val Royeaux, just not Denerim...? Which I could understand, because I doubt Denerim is particularly important this time around. I might be surprised if there is absolutely no trip back to Kirkwall at some point, though. Maybe. Really, I'll probably be spending too much time enjoying wherever the game takes me to cry over Kirkwall or Denerim. Will be a little sad if we don't get to see Val Royeaux, though.
Very strange. But didn't Gaider say to wait for a translated version, hinting that this one isn't 100% accurate? The news about the cities is a bit strange.

Summon demons?! Oh gawd, I'm not even sure what I'd do with them if I did summon one, LOL!

Yeah, this notion makes me sad, not seeing VR. Still seems like an odd caption for a pic of a city. "Here's a cool looking city, but rest assured there won't be any big cities like Denerim." ??? Sounds like we need to reserve judgment again til a dev can confirm/deny the journalist got it all correct.

Say thanks to your husband for me.
It might just mean Denerim just might not be available?

Oh, that'd be amazing... especially if it wasn't mage-only. That would put a few peoples' noses out of joint, I daresay.
The line implies that we'll control party members through a over the shoulder camera only, whe we know that Tactical camera is back.
Yeah, I'm not gonna take it as gospel until we get the English version... or at least until the devs clarify.

Well, considering the food stuff is just the writers joking with each other and is in none of the official material, I imagine we don't really need to pay huge amounts of attention to it. I can see where the idea is possibly coming from, but I doubt it's something we should take too seriously. *shrug*
Very strange. But didn't Gaider say to wait for a translated version, hinting that this one isn't 100% accurate?
I believe that was strictly in the context of the dreamers comment. But indeed, we english speakers prob best wait for an English version before dissecting the words. El Husbando only knows so much about DA (he pretty much quit after DA:O).

Unless they mean the nature of how Denerim worked, which involved a lot of load screens. a LOT. Same with Kirkwall. And with the engine won't even be a problem because the entire city could be one smooth environment.
Oh! Remember DG said in the Twitter thread that he'd tell us more about "the bald elf" when we address him by his name... well, now we know it. Maybe we should ask again? LOL!
... That'll probably ****** him off, but whatever!
