Replace as a member of the party, possibly. There were rumours of one companion from the leak being scrapped.
Gaider stated that Solas was always meant to be different character form Dorian, so I think they wrote both of them, and then possibly scrapped Dorian.

 

Hard to say, I mean, that'll be three mages with Dorian as well, right?

Yeah.
I honestly woudn't place my bet on three mage companions. I'd like it, with the choice of making an all mage party, but I'm skeptical.
On another topic, if IB isn't a rogue I could definitely see Cole as a companion, becuase while we can change weapon types for companions I think that we'll see one who is shown as dual-wield, and Sera seems to be presented as an archer. And Cole fits the dual-wield daggers rogue well.

If Solas is Indeed from Tevinter,I think so. Otherwise  two Tevinter mages in the party wouldn't make much sense plot-wise.

 Which makes me wonder,since we usually don't get a full mage party in DA,that means that the other two unrevealed companions are probably, either a warrior and a rogue or 2 rogues or something??

Well he does wear light armor in the pics and the concept art,not to mention the hidden smaller blades(If that's indeed him!),and we also had a qunari warrior companion in the past so yes,I also have a feeling that he might be a rogue.

That's what I was thinking too, a change from the norm of the typical Sten-like Qunari warriors. Also conveniently leaves a place open for one more, curly blonde haired, templar companion

Me too probably,I like to try as much party combinations as possible,at least during my first playthrough...

Well my basic, just random side quest, nothing out of the ordinary, party will almost definitely be:

Archer Elfquisitor
Warden/Iron Bull, (I'm pretty sure the guy's a warrior)/Cullen (because I still have believe (still believe, when I'm not with you I lo- no, you JUST got Stronger out of your head, Potato!))
Sera as an archer, (or DW if it becomes too unusable what with my Inquisitor using bows too)

Well, I'm thinking for us in particular it would be good if Dorian is out because that's one more slot open for Cullen

 

I was thinking the same thing about Cole But also hoping he gets booted in favor of our boy!
