Referred to as Madame de Fer, “the Lady of Iron”, Vivienne lives up to her title. A leader among the mages and official enchanter to the Imperial court, she is renowned as a fearsome woman who achieved her position through guile and deft political maneuvering. Vivienne allows nothing to stand in the way of what she desires—not those who claim she is a social climber, not those who seek to restrict her power, not even her fellow mages who would conscript her into a rebellion with which she disagrees. Vivienne fights to restore order in a world gone mad…so long as that leaves her among those left standing, once all is said and done.

Interesting. Something from a German poster on that article that's coming out Wednesday.
I wonder if the rest of us will be able to see the video when the magazine comes out... unless you have to buy it in order to see it.,.

Omg, I ****** love Vivienne. If she is not an LI, I am going to kick off.

Wait. That's in game? Pre-Alpha? /faints from the gorgeousness. I'm not sure I will be able to play this game without constantly stopping to look at every little thing. (which is pretty much how I play Skyrim, so I should be used to it, I guess. haha)

"The article is subtitled "Bioware get their act together", LOL! This refers to DA2's flaws which are said to be consequently eradicated."
Ugh, I have had it with these darn gaming "journalists" dissing DA2.
This is so much what I was thinking. I even had to delete a post I was gonna make to put in that thread.
They also said that they were "unimpressed" with new companions. Asking if any will have the "presence" of Morrigan, Alistair, Shale..bah. That's when I really realized they were a bit precious abt DAO.
As much as I loved DAO, I also loved DA2. Both had their flaws and both had their good parts. And frankly, I'm not a tactical camera caring person. I prefer real time--after I set up the abilities of my comapnions, that is. Then unleash them in real time.
I mean, that's cool for those that prefer that, but that, to me, does not equate with BW "getting their act together".

I completely disagree on what they were saying about the new companions. In fact, I don't think I have ever had this much fun talking and speculating and drooliing about a group of companions.

SQUEEEEE! Omg. This is in game? Pre Alpha? omg. The detail is astounding.
And she is so beautiful. I think. I think she is gorgeous, and yes, she has Presence! Thos stones on her outfit kinda look like opals. Kinda. Lol! Opals are favorite stones.
Heeeyyyy, wait a minute. What abt Morrigan? Do these 2 know each other? Cuz Morrigan is supposed to be set up at the Imperial Court, too. Some kinda way. Hmmm. They would have to know, or know of each other. I imagine the Imperial Court group is not that large. I don't see how they coulda missed each other.
Somehow I don't see them getting along.....? And heck no Viv doesn't want a rebellion. She's got a good thing going, that's she's worked on for a very long time. I bet she's ticked. Lol!

You have GOT to be kidding me. I mean the DA:O characters were great. So were the DA2 characters. If I were to make a ranking, they'd all be all over the place. How childish! I can see I'll be reading this article for exciting spoilers and screenshots and that's it.
Speaking of... I'm curious about you guys' ranking of companions from both games
Followed by... ranking of (including potential) DA:I companions!
Mine... starting from favorite to least favorite:
1. Fenris
2. Isabela
3. Sten
4. Alistair
5. Aveline
6. Zevran
7. Anders
8. Morrigan
9. Merrill
10. Bethany
11. Carver
12. Wynne
13. Leliana
14. Sebastian
15. Shale
16. Varric
17. Oghren
I hope I didn't forget anyone ![]()
As for DA:I
1. Cullen (duh) ![]()
2. Scribe Girl (I'm sorry, can I include her? Important NPC??)
3. Grey Warden guy
4. Sera
5. Iron Bull
6. Cole (even though I actually don't want him to be a companion to save room for Cullen!)
7. Solas
8. Cassandra
9. Vivienne
10. Varric
11. Mustache Guy
Again, hope I'm not forgetting anyone!

I would bet Morrigan and she have crossed paths before, although I doubt Viv would know that Morrigan's an apostate. And I would love to see a confrontation between the two!

As far as a listing of fav companions..eee.. idk if I can do that cuz they all provide something diff for my PC at diff times. There are times when I need Leli to talk to me abt shoes and fashions and the craziness of Orlais. Or abt her beliefs, or a story from the lore of Thedas.
Then there are times when I need Morrigan to remind me that "first you must survive".
Ah, i love all those guys. All the DA characters. I really do. Even when I want to shake them unitl their heads roll off....

1. Alistair
2. Morrigan
3. Velanna
4. Seb
5. Wynne
6. Merrill
7. Shale
8. Isabela
9. Fenris
10. Zevran
11. Nathaniel
12. Sten
13. Sigrun
14. Aveline
15. Carver
16. Anders (Awakening)
17. Bethany
18. Justice
19. Varric
20. Anders (DA2)
21. Oghren
It's really only around 18 I actually start disliking them, so don't think I don't like Bethany, by any stretch of the imagination. I think she's great, but she needed more screentime.
Edit
Oh yeah Loghain! But I'd hate losing Alistair so no thanks.

Wow... I completely left Leliana off the list
Hmm, she'd probably be about #11 or 12.

18. Justice
19. Varric
20. Anders (DA2)
21. Oghren
Man, I see we are in agreement regarding Varric and Oghren. With Oghren I felt like he was every cliche about a dwarf ever. Varric, really, I'm not saying he's not a great character, and I enjoyed him the first time I played the game, but on subsequent playthroughs I lost interest. Maybe it's because he seems to have no strong opinions about anything whatsoever? Who knows. Brilliant voice acting, that's for sure. And he has a nice "look." So I dunno. It could just be fatigue, you know, seeing him again in DA:I and feeling a bit bitter over it.
