Thanks guys  It's a pretty bad quality, but I had to record it from the Toolset since I was getting these error messages when I tried to mod it into the game. I'm working on the next one today, created a new module to work with so I'm going to test it out and make sure it exports correctly before I waste too much time on it. 

 

If anyone has any ideas that they'd like me to try and flesh out, I'd be more than happy to hear them! I'm trying to eventually create a demo reel for my portfolio.

I have been looking for the rest of his cut dialog (also posted at vieralynn's tumblr) online for a while but never did find them... I'd love to hear them all if someone knows where they are. (If not, maybe I'll try to dig some of them out with the toolset or whatever for page 4000...)

Yea, cinematic/narrative design. I'm getting a degree in Computer Science, but I've been taking game design classes and experimenting with engines and toolsets on the side.

Thats pretty cool  have you messed around in UDK, Unity, CryEngine yet? If so witch one do u prefer  (too bad that Frostbite doesn't share their engine for learning )

I got to try out an older version of Unreal in one of my Design classes, but my teacher was pretty awful and couldn't really figure it out on my own. I was told to start working on mods and with toolsets as a good way to start, and it's something fun to build up my portfolio

Nice, I agree that working with toolsets can give you a better understanding  of how certain things are/work, but it doesn't always apply to every engine out there , they all have their different ways of doing things and toolsets don't always provide all the necessary assets. I've played around in the cry engine for a lil bit,  but its such a pain in the arse sometimes when you try to import your own meshes, not to mention the custom animations  you made  go crazy sometimes cause you havent exported it right lol... I guess what I've learned from the cry engine is that its very picky and annoying at times

I'm a bit disappointed abt. Maev. Just cuz she's such an awesome character. But it sounds like, in general, it was just too late to do that.

 

You know, since we aren't going to Tevinter proper, maybe the next game we will, and that would be a perfect opportunity to meet the Tevinter Magister Maev.

Thanks. I should have cut the stuff together, but just didn't have time for more than a quick recording and the direct upload to YT.

In the video description there is a link to the mod I used. Step 1 enable console commands, step 2 install mod. Super easy.

I have been using it on other characters as well. It's fun. The best part is that mod was created to swap the PCs voice to ANY char you can name. Though some lack the barking necessary to make sense. (Still better than 'can I get you a ladder so you can get of my back'). I use it to swap to the Male, Elf deep voice (suave) when playing human.

I have never read the comics I have no clue how Maevaris is... I just know shes a transvestite  or something right?
