I guess from what the blog stated that companions will be locked in their class armours/robes. Though I'm honestly worried that companions won't have access to every armour/robes the Inquisitor can use too.
They promised us that we could put any armor on any character; it will simply change shape and color according to their "look/style."

It was stated that the companions will have a base armor that we can basically attach things to, to increase certain attributes. Different shoulder pieces or helmets, like that. There's a video out there of it. I could try to find it....

Weird. The symbol on his chest in teb Gamestar pic is identical to his necklace in your pic, but it didn't seem a necklace in the former (it seems sawn in his clothes).

I think it was on twitter or in the twitter thread a while ago when the Gi was released, I dont remember weather it was Mary or Dave who said it... I dont remember the exact words but it was something about a grandfather or that GW was "inspired" by someones grandfather or something like that... R2 might know better
I would be interested to hear this too, because that bit about the editor feeling embarassed for "making googly eyes" at a character based on someone's granddad was one of my favorite parts of (IIRC) R2's Case for Cullen roundup...

Namely, it was Tonia Laird talking about mysterious character who she saw do VO the *exact* same day GE told us he did VA for Cullen. So, my continuing suspicion based on the evidence is that the grandpa convo was about Cullen.

Does anyone else think that Cullen was attracted to Meredith? At least, at the beginning when he was all RAWR MAGES BAD. It's my headcanon that Cullen is attracted to powerful women (and maybe men?). I have nothing to back me up besides just my own thoughts, though.
FWIW, we (the Cullen thread via Gala, I think) asked the devs whether there was ever any Meredith-Cullen, um, fraternization. Response was not just no, but "ohgodwhywouldyoueverthinkthat?"

I'm trying so hard to 'like' this, but it won't let me 
Personally I would have no problems using a grandparent for inspiration for a character. My grandfather, for example, was a very proud man, a very stubborn man, too. His family was very important to him, and yet he was quite aloof. During a long conversation he'd maybe only utter one or two sentences. He was a very typical "old school" Cajun to be honest. Take all those traits and you could make a very interesting character, and definitely a sexy one, too!

Go to about 6:40 in the video, that's when they start talking about the armor. Granted, this was done ages ago, but, looking at what we have here, I think it's a similar concept. I think what's happened is instead of actually fit, say, a chest-piece to the character, we get "themes" or "flavors" or armor. It looks like we can't mix-and-match the chest-pieces and the hats and the belts and the boots, but that could just be how they're displayed.
I hope so, anyway.
