Y'know, seeing how early GE tweeted he was in the booth, in comparison to SV who's only just in there now seems rather telling, doesn't it.

I guess we can safely assume that Cullen won't just be a cameo or piddly minor NPC.

Well, hopefully it's because they don't want to spoil Cullen's companion reveal, whereas a "minor" NPC returning isn't such a big spoiler.  Oh I hope that's why    Also, I think it was said in the Follower Friday thread that not all companions will be revealed before release.

Truth be told, I'd like to see all the companions from both games pop up at some point.

Hm, might be worth stalking Anders and Fenris' voice actor's twitters in these coming months? (Do Isbela's, Sebastian's and Merrill's VOs that Twitter, too?)

 

I think Anders and Fenris will have cameos. I know alot of people hate Anders but a great many people did NOT kill Anders and had their Hawkes ran off with him.  Many people just don't mention it because they don't wish to be bullied by the fandom.

 

I think Varric will probably mention them as well.

It probably has to do with the time of the tweet. Confirming that Cullen was in DAI so long before release (it was more or less a year before the supposed 2013 release, right?) means that Cullen has an important role, as either a companion or major NPC, since they woudn't bother doing VA for a minor character that long before release. Steve tweeted after the game was formally announced, shown and closer to release, so it woudn't be a big problem.

All this talk of Alistair made me realize I don't have a playthrough where he's dead.   This is a serious oversight on my part, and something should be done to fix it.
