I've yet to get a comment on mine, but then my keys are usually in my purse or pocket, lol.

 

I had several people comment on my N7 hoodies. It usually comes when you least expect it. I was wearing my N7 hoodie and was grocery shopping, went to the checkout line and the Cashier looks at me and says "Shepard!" I looked at him dumbfounded and looked around me, thinking he was talking to someone else, when he said "You didn't expect that, didn't you?" That's when the light went off and we started chatting.

 

The other time a woman stopped me when I was wearing my Kaidan/Specter hoodie and she thought it was an Air Force hoodie (USA) it does have some resemblance, kinda sorta ... nah, not really.

 

 

Those things would be worth the price for the compliments from strangers alone--I can't count how many times my day has been totally made by waiters / TSA guys / random passerby calling me "Commander" or "Shep" or whatever.

 

I know, it's awesome isn't it? My example was just the most recent one, but I had "Shepard" yelled a couple times down the isle while shopping. But only my N7 hoodies, I haven't had anyone recognize my Kaidan hoodie yet,  Not many Kaidan fans out there, heh.

 

The funny thing is that my kids recognize when other people wear N7 stuff much faster then I do and they usually yell "Shepard!" or "Mass Effect!" to the person wearing the shirt. I even got my 3 year old twins trained, they know the N7 sign has something to do with Shepard. It was glorious when I heard Shepard for the first time come out of their mouths.

Does anyone want to tease about whatever art / fic /video they're working on so we know what to expect? I've already said mine is an Orlesian ball setting.

Well yes, actually! Being that we are almost at 3975, I will do so! I'm only 445 words away form my 4000 words goal!

Here's two little teasers for you all! (sorry if the copy paste is weird, even in word-paste)
 

That night we made dragon stew (don’t knock it until you try it) and Varric told stories about the famed Champion of Kirkwall around the camp fire.
            “And then, Hawke road a giant phoenix into battle against the Knight Commander Meredith.” he shouted excitedly.

“That’s definitely not what happened Varric.” said Cullen.

“Oh yeah pretty boy, how do you know?” asked Varric

“I was there…”

“That’s not what you told me either…” added Cassandra as she gingerly flipped through pages of Hard In Hightown Two.

“I also don’t think the Champion escorted an elven Qunari assassin to a duke’s ball, seduced his son for the key to the keep, stole his treasure, and then kicked the duke off a cliff… That’s way too farfetched.” I said.

“Oh no, that actually happened.” Cullen explained.

“Maker’s breath. Well I’ll be…” I gasped.

“I believe it’s time to turn in for the evening,” said Cassandra as she closed her book, “We should make an early start if we want to return to the keep before noon.” She set up and walked to her tent with haste.

“I’ll leave you two lovebirds alone while I go count the coin I won from ms.fruglepants over there.” chuckled Varric as got up, picked up the empty stew pot, and returned to his tent.

“I heard that dwarf!” yelled Cassandra.

The stars shined brightly between the two bright moons. The mountains were quiet, only the crackling of the campfire flames, and hushed whistles of the wind could be heard. Cullen held my hand, as he affectionately stared into my eyes.

“Thank you for saving me today, that dragon almost sautéed me.” I said.

“I would do it again.” he whispered as he delicately tucked a strand of my hair behind my ear.

“Let’s hope you don’t get the chance too often.”

“I… I must confess to you Inquisitor. My feelings for you sense the ball… I’ve grown quite fond of you.”

“I know you are, but what am I?”

“Well played.” He chuckled.

“What were you coming to see me about yesterday?” I asked.

“Oh… Oh! We need to go to the infirmary, now!” He said as he jolted out of bed and began putting his clothes back on.

“Are you sure it’s important? Because this view is pretty distracting.”

“So are you my love, but Vivienne is in the infirmary.”

“Crap.” I sighed.

I quickly rushed out of bed and put my clothes on. Cullen and I rushed through the keep and into the infirmary. Vivienne laid in bed, asleep.

“What happened?” I asked the healers tending to her.

“She’s been drifting in and out of consciousness. I suspect its poison.” Answered the healer.

“Vivienne? Can you hear me?”
She mumbled and turned her face to as she tried to say something to me.

“Who did this to you? Did a Crow try to assassinate you? Can you hear me Vivi?” I yelled.

“Burn it… burn it to the ground…” she mumbled with anger.

“Burn what?” Cullen asked.

“She’s been saying that for hours. We’re still not sure what she’s talking about. We found her unconscious in master Solas’ closet.”

“Oh.” I said.

“Well nice talking you, I’m sure she’ll recover in no time. We’ll just be going now” Cullen said as he guided me out of the infirmary.

“Another round?” He asked.

“If you can beat me there.” I answered.

Honestly, though, how should I be expected to deal with both Cullen and Vivienne in the same party?

I would probably square off to do battle... although that reaction would probably lose some of what I'd intend for it because I don't have a Circle ring. But I'd quite like one.

If I saw it I would squeal "A FELLOW DRAGON AGE FAN!" ... yeah there aren't many Dragon Age fans where I am or gamers that are into the same games I am

Actually they are. Merril isn't big chested and Carver isn't some moron. I guess people can still think Carver is an idiot, but Merril does not have an enormous chest.

 

About Solas looking like Nicolas Cage, I don't see it, but then there is nothing wrong with some Nicolas Cage sprinkled here and there!

I tend to believe Dragon Age fans in general have more in common than we have differences, it just doesn't show on the forums because we're here to discuss and debate. 

 

For the record, I am very anti the abuse of mages. I have the templar necklace because I identify with templars (not necessarily take the templar side in-game) because in real life I have a job watching over people. I don't think you'd hate me if we met, seriously.
