I wanna make a female Qunari version of Grace Jones!
That would be excellent. I actually thought about her when I first saw Vivienne without a hat. So regal. Anyway, I guess one bald playthrough is a must under the circumstances - *grin* - but I am curious about what kind of hair styles, etc. will be options on the character creator. I am so looking forward to experimenting!

I am positively giddy about the potential the CC has.
I've never actually thought about what my characters look like before seeing what I have to work with concerning the CC, but now I'm tentatively making plans. Plans that can easily change depending on the CC, but plans never the less.
Do all the Qunari have white hair? Are they like the Drow? Was just thinking if that'll be the only option when we get to CC. It's all we've seen on any of them thus far. I wouldn't care (as I love the Qunari white hair. And Drow.) And they can't all be that same exact uniform greyish colour. Sten, for example. He's tanned! And they haven't changed that for the comics, all they did was give him pointier ears. I'm wondering if we'll have different shades, like for the dark elves of Elder Scrolls.
They could end up making it a gender difference, whether or not the horns are smaller for the womenfolk. But I hope not, as I'd like some big 'ole horns, too.
It's not just about being "watched" by outsiders. It's about some of our own not being comfortable. That's why I'd like to limit the negativity. There are plenty of threads elsewhere for that.We're watched closer than most because we pick up the info before most of the other threads, certainly. But some of the complaints are from former Cullen thread regulars, which is sad.

The World of Thedas says Qunari have 'metallic' skin tones. So silver, bronze, gold, and also obsidian. So my guess is that Sten was bronze.
I actually really like the idea of qunari only having white hair, but I think the Iron Bull had dark stubble in his concept art? Which might mean they can also have black hair and any other natural shades?
I'm not gonna send over the links because I don't want a flame war kicking off. The gist of it basically is that a few people don't like the recent bitching about the way some of the new companions look. Now, granted everyone is entitled to their own opinions and if you don't find them attractive then that's absolutely fine, but I'm definitely in agreement that it gets a bit too close to the knuckle at times. As Xili pointed out the other day in regards to Solas' physical appearance (as an example), if it was people insulting Cass then it would be considered sexist and wrong.
I just think we need to reign it in a little bit, I don't like the idea that others are avoiding this thread due to negativity.

Most of the time I've tried to hold an interesting and intelligent conversation and never insulted anybody. There's really nowhere else to do that. I would be really surprised if something I said had driven away past thread members

Now that they can render darker skin tones better, I'm hoping obsidian will be an option.

This just makes me think of how Snarky!Hawke and party would show up to an Orlesian ball if s/he got to pick the wardrobe.
Hopefully if we ever get Feastday pranks and gifts again, that jar of bees can turn into a jar of butterflies.

Yeah, I wonder about Cole too. Unless Cole really did turn into some sort of demon hybrid at the end of Asunder, in which case I guess that would toughen him up a bit in the field of combat.
I find it hard to see how Cole would fit into a party after the epilogue of Asunder. Up till that point I hoped he'd be a companion, but now... I'm not sure how that would even work?
At this point I'm thinking he'll likely be an NPC rather than a companion, just because what he turned into would be rather hard to integrate into an adventuring group.

As a Guild Wars fan, I really don't think that's a problem. The Guild Wars devs take great delight in borrowing back and forth between fantasy games. I think they'd be pleased.

hmm I just read that thread and it says no companion DLC.... thats a bit of a bummer.. If Cullen wasn't a vanilla companion the only other hope I had for him was a DLC... guess there went that idea
