Aye-aye!
Okay, so, there's been some rumbling about Cullen being an NPC instead of a companion (I waffle on this about three times a minute). How would you guys feel if Cullen became a NPC on par with, say, Joker of the Mass Effect series?
a single tear. tbh. but, eh...you know...i mean...eh...better than nothing. i guess.

I'm excited to use the character creator! Oh so many hours will be poured into creating the perfect Inquisitor... and then Inquisitors of the other 3 races, yay. Seriously, look at this dwarven cutie!
You can never experience something for the first time again, I can't wait for that feeling. Also, just getting to know the companions, whoever they may be.
OMG IKR!!!
I'm sad they aren't realsing a CC demo, but when the real demo comes out, I'll probably spend days locked up in my dorm room creating inquisitors. DAYS. It's said to be super advanced.

there are 2 things, tho, i hope they give plausible explanations for, and not just--"because Bees".
1) i know the inquisitor is special cuz of the whole sealing the veil tears thing, but what i hope they touch on, at least, is how/why the inquisitor was The Only One Left Standing.
My personal theory is that the inquisitor was indeed down in a wine cellar somewhere looking for a robust wine w/just of hint of Cullen on a Platter. So, they get kinda residual veil tearing cooties.
2) IF Cullen is in (npc, or companion)---I'm still having a hard time seeing him promoted to knight commander. maybe not initially at any rate. i just know that if i were a boss templar coming to kirkwall to see wth happened, i would not be happy that the party responsible were allowed to leave town. lol.

Just had a thought... which IMO suggests Cullen will be an NPC, not a companion (perhaps not a major NPC either) ![]()
Cullen's status could be dependent on how we ended DA2. Hawke becomes viscount: Cullen promoted to Knight-Commander. Hawke leaves Kirkwall: Cullen ousted from the Order or demoted.
So perhaps we meet him at some point, and he explains what happens. But since he has two such very different outcomes, they probably couldn't make him a very integral part of the story....

In regards to our Inquisitor I'm soooo curious to see how we even end up involved in it all. I remember Mark Darrah once saying that it could potentially be our fault that it tore open (like we have some sort of choice over whether we were directly involved in opening it, or just happened to be in the area where it happened).
In my head I have this scene were "the big bad" or one of his/her/it's minions tries to rope our character into helping them do a ritual that opens the fade by trying to trick us/force us into it or something, and if we agree to do it then it's partly our fault for it opening (thus we have to become the Inquisitor to fix the mess we've caused), or if we refuse then we still have to become the Inquisitor because we were the only one to witness it and survive.

Perhaps if we're a mage class then it's potentially our fault? Although I prefer the idea that every Inquisitor (regardless of class) could have the choice of being partly to blame.

I'd hate for it to hit at like 3am EST (8 hrs from now) when even the Cullen thread tends to go to sleep. Thoughts on speeding it up? or slowing it down? I'm ready. Soon it will be very late europe time. Lola?

I'm about to leave work; I'll be home in an hour, then should be home for the rest of the night, so that period of time would be a good time to hit 4000, for me at least.

I don't want to risk accidentally hitting the 4000 page, so I'll say this now. I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone's celebratory Cullen projects. So much fun. ![]()
Congrats to all for an epic posting count!
