Ack, I've been troubleshooting computer problems and beta testing EverQuest Next Landmark all day, so I completely missed you all hitting 4000 pages. Congrats!

hmm I just read that thread and it says no companion DLC.... thats a bit of a bummer.. If Cullen wasn't a vanilla companion   the only other hope I had for him was a DLC... guess there went that idea

 

Although I liked the idea of a DLC companion just to give Cullen an extra shot at being in the line-up, just in terms of sheer numbers I'm happy with nine instead of ten. When I get too many companions, I feel like I'm not really getting to know them as well as individuals and it's harder to get as involved in their individual stories. It gets hard to balance using them all and I feel like interesting teammates are getting left out just due to lack of party room. Ten seems like a little much to me honestly.

 

You know, after reading through Dorian's little biography again, I really hope he was cut. I know he probably wouldn't have been once fleshed out and stuff, but he sounds like the BIGGEST Gary Stu ever. Exiled from Big Bad Tevinter for being too nice, he's on a mission to redeem the country from its past mistakes, but not without a good joke and a charming smile. Blergh! Stab him in the face and let him bleed out in the corner.

 

I felt like Dorian could work as a concept (although yeah, could easily stray into Stu,) but he didn't make a lot of sense to me as a character in a game where we aren't going to actually visit Tevinter. Like some important goals in his character arc are focused on a place we aren't going? How does that work? So it seems as if his development and story would be rather limited. I'm not opposed to Dorian, I just don't see him as a great fit for what we know about this game.

Okay, so, there's been some rumbling about Cullen being an NPC instead of a companion (I waffle on this about three times a minute). How would you guys feel if Cullen became a NPC on par with, say, Joker of the Mass Effect series?

 

I haven't played Mass Effect either, sorry, but I guess I'd be okay with it? I mean it wouldn't be my top choice, but I could live with it. 

 

If they made him romanceable as an NPC, it would mostly make up for him not being a companion. I'd still like my Inquisitor to get to adventure with him and spend time with him, but it would still be awesome.

 

If he's just an NPC and not romanceable... well, we kind of have to be fine with it because it is what it is, but I'd be a little disappointed. Honestly it's a disappointment I'm prepared for, though. I'll still enjoy the game and all! I know we can't all have everything we want.

 

Heathen!!! .... uhhh, I mean why is that?   

 

I haven't gotten far in Mass Effect because I couldn't figure out the wacky controls. I liked the story but I seriously think I never managed to hit anything! So I kind of gave up in frustration.

First things first: the prequel to this fic is Seeking. (LINK IS TO THE LIVEJOURNAL KINKMEME MEANING NSFW although my fic is fluffy as bunnies and not even a little porny.) While it sets up the relationship and helps define my Inquisitor, it's really not necessary. Also it is full of stuttery Cullen. It should be noted that Ashtal is Tal-Vashoth, and the Warden for this verse is a Dalish rogue. It sort-of matters.

Ok so since  the main image I wanted to do for this challange was going to be based off of R2s
fanfic- RED (thats what the room i was trying to make was for) I have failed to finish it
due to my vegas vacation for a week and then when I came home I did a lot of fuking off so instead
this is my  "backup plan" pic I did a while back,  I will still post R2's fanfic pic when its done tho
even if its not for page 4k (sorry r2)

I was waiting for this, I saw the progress but it still amazes me how you have capture the resemblance. The textures are beautiful and I actually like how dark is the picture. It defines the mood.

I find it sooooo much easier to tell a story with images than I do with words, so I find pieces bits of footage together really easy to do. But for the life of me I can't write a good story, LOL!
