But it was said/tweeted/whatever (I'm been up since 5:30, forgive my inability to make sense...) that there would be a default voice when you selected your race; you could then have the opportunity to change it to the other voice. So that makes me think that the default voice for the human will be what we heard. And if THAT'S the human, no way will they go lighter... they'll go deeper.

On Cullen being damaged goods, no, I don't think he is, which is why I ship him hard with Hawke (and which might make DA:I a bit difficult for me, but /rolls up sleeves, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do). But, I could see Varric and others thinking so. For ex, I could totally see Varric having the Come to Andraste talk with Hawke about him, like he does about Anders, et al. I mean, a priori, would you want one of your besties dating someone with such a traumatized past? With little else to go on regarding how he'd be as a boyfriend, I'd probably caution someone. Til I got to know him.
I have no words for how much I love this. That is all.
See, now I'm worried that some previous choices might be bad for previous companions in the DAI endings.

Ooooh I just realized how excited I am to see a new version of the Desire Demon! Please please please let there be one. I don't even care if it's still a Fem version at this point, I just really want to see the updated version of this. It would be really cool if the Desire demon's gender changes depending on your Inquistion's gender. Oh the possibilities with this game is mind boggling!
That's funny because I was just thinking how I liked her nose in profile. Which is usually an enormous problem for me. I'm just really weird about noses. Noses always causes me the most grief in character creations. I play the Sims a lot too and I collect faces so I don't have to deal with noses as much.

Not necessarily. The voice we heard on the Discover the Dragon Age trailer was the voice of the Human Inquisitor that we heard last year at PAX, and it was pretty damn deep. Also, Mike said they are looking in to being able to change the pitch of the voices as well. So it may be that we are simply given two voices, regardless of race, and we can slightly modify the pitch to something more appealing.

I could be wrong but wouldn't that be way tricker with an actual language? The sims language no one really understands so words high or low don't sound too weird to us. So the probably can't go crazy lol! Also aren't there some languages where voice pitch completely alters the word said? Although that's probably not something they have to worry about.
I don't see it affecting English too much, but in other languages it might, yes. I hadn't thought about that.
I have the worst time with sim noses! I'm worried about the fourth game coming out where you just pull on different body parts to make them long/shorter or different shapes lol! It seems...imprecise

Actually, I'm thinking that'll help me. I never know what all the random terms mean since I'm not some noseologist so hopefully I'll get the shape I want faster. In and out and done.
It worked in the Sims 3, but in Saints Row 3 and 4 and Soul Calibur 4 and 5 you can alter the pitch of your character's voice, but just more than a tiny bit in either direction and it sounds really badly manipulated. Like Believe-y. Fun Fact, until I was 16, I was convinced that song was sung by a man called Share. Even though I was well aware of Cher.

Er... I'd really rather not have it be gender-based, as my own Inquisitors would never find a male demon desirous despite being female.
