I think the problem here isn't a toggle, just not having a way to let Anders down gently.
Good point.

OK, I know this flirts with my no negativity rule... but I only mean about the quality of the picture... Cass's nose. I mean... she looks like she's had WAY too much work done. It's like Michael Jackson nose.
To balance that, I will gush again about her little braid crowny thing.
I see what you mean about her nose (I even put my glasses on *grin*), and I think you're right-it's that the picture is crappy quality. There just seems to be a lot of pixelization (or whatever the technical term would be) in the whole picture.
I love, though, that she's got scars. Not some fragile wallflower, she.
Desire demons can take on any pleasing shape, but I believe their true form is feminine because of cultural unconsciousness: women have been portrayed as objects of sexual desire far more often than men, and it's that archetype that the demons take their shape from.
Yeah, I'm sure you're right. And, heck, I'm straight and find the desire demons rather titillating. I've just seen such loverly male desire demon fanart, that now, I wants it.
*sigh* And everytime I go into my devart Favorites, I just fangirl all over again.

Maker... I can't like anything yet. I'm all out of likes after browsing through the pages leading up to and including page 4000.
Which was awesome, btw! Still have to read the fic yet. But consider that drawing "liked" R2! ![]()
You know, I can't write fanfiction. I hate breaking canon.
I started a LadyHawke a long while back with the intention to romance Seb and do a pro Templar playthrough.
I know Seb is weird when it comes to making sure you never pick any flirt options with anyone else ever (this is so hard for me) so I made sure I never picked any flirty dialogue with anyone.
Near end of Act 2 comes around and Merrill came knocking at my door looking for sexytimes. Was never able to complete my playthrough how I planned. ![]()

Maybe there was a glitch where their friendship meter being high enough started a romance by Act 2, if you hadn't already made the requisite progress with your chosen LI?

The 'not flirt with anyone' is apparently not true about Seb; you just can't close the deal with anyone else. But, Merrill is supposedly a romance juggernaut, she and Anders, and they're super easy to trigger. I just reloaded when she did that to me.
They did hint at Merrill keeping the mirror being a bad choice. Give me, a minute. I was at dinner.
... Oh sh!t.
Let's hope it'll just be a few more enemies we'd have to kill (like the whole re-writing the Geth thing from ME2 into ME3), rather than Kirkwall being torn apart by demons or gawd knows what!
Dirge is late to the party, as always, but damn... I feel like a horrible person for looking forward to how my Hawke messed it all up by not getting Merrill to destroy the mirror. Bring it on! My Inquisitor is ready! And will probably think Hawke is a pain in the BUTT afterwards. ![]()
"Let's keep the demon tainted mirror. Yes. BRILLIANT idea. Where is this guy? I swear I'm gonna--"

OMG, I can't remember what I did with the mirror! I friended Merrill both times, but I don't recall what she did with the mirror. What were the options exactly?

Who was the one who said that? I need to know which dev was responsible for this.

I think Merrill only destroys the mirror on the friendship path if she's romanced? I could be wrong about that, though.

I sadly can't remember the exact tweet or who made it. It was a whiiiiile ago. I do remember someone tweeting, about how 'keeping the mirror may or may not have been a bad idea'.

If you rival her, she breaks the mirror. It's one of the only rivalries I like.

She doesn't destroy it either way.

Then, if they did say it was a bad idea, I will find them. And ultimately, everyone who made the plot this way.

"The world heaves with my torment. Its wretched kingdoms quake beneath my rage."

I liked the idea behind the rivalries, but how they were handled could get pretty gross and out right abusive at times. Merril's rivalry in particular does HORRIBLE things to her self-confidence and ability to make decisions without second guessing herself, sending her towards self-loathing and symptoms dangerously close to depression. ![]()

Yes, thank you for saying what I was too busy frothing to say.

I only ever rivaled Fenris, and that was because it was hard not to playing as a mage. It was tricky and I had to metagame heavily to achieve it. Being pro-mage, but empathetic about Fenris' experiences and attitudes was difficult. At least for me.
Merrill is too sweet for my Hawkes to rival, even though they don't necessarily think the mirror was the brightest idea. (but understand why she's compelled to mess with it)

I rivaled Isabela, largely because Hawke doesn't really ever do anything to her and because she has some nice development at the end of Act 3. Fenris' rivalry I didn't actually like, I just don't see it being possible to honestly friend him.

I enjoyed romancing Fenris as a male mage. I thought his character developed very nicely.

I can only friendmance Fenris
My heart breaks otherwise. And if I romance someone else, I literally have to not recruit him ![]()
Actually, although I have rivaled various characters (other than Fenris), I can't rivalmance anyone. It just feels wrong. I like fluffy romance ![]()
