Random thought: If Cullen were making a small appearance a la Alistair, they'd have happily advertised it the way they did Alistair's VA being in the studio on Twitter. But Mr. Ellis evidently has a gag rule slapped onto him... and it makes one wonder why.

I just feel like at this point there's no question he will be a major player in the game -- companion or NPC. They don't want to advertise that he's in it because then they know fans would probably bum-rush GE. Pretty hard to prevent story leaks if that occurred, and unfair to the actor to have to ask him to deal with that (and to continuously say, "I'm sorry; I'm not at liberty to say.").

I think that it might be because at the time when he posted that tweet, nothing was known about the game other than that there was one in development. I don't mean to squash anyone's hopes that it might be because he plays a larger role in Inquisition, but in this case I think it just might be a case of bad timing on his part.

True, and I have thought of that, too. But at this point they are indeed advertising certain parts, whether minor (Alistair) or major (Morrigan), and so far GE still doesn't seem to have permission to talk about the game at all. Why is that?

yea besides the GI already said that there will be a certain Knight Captain returning... so its not really a secret anymore that his in game

Plus we don't know why the article printed that. They may have simply seen the War Room concept art. The information might also have slipped out when it wasn't supposed to, or it might be speculation. I mean, we have professional magazines printing that Morrigan is a companion again. Please.

well actually in the last part of the GI voice interview with Mike  they asked him  about a certain templar/ knight captain and from what i remember  he never really denied his presence nor did they said they were wrong

My guess is if he's a faction leader, they don't want us to know about faction leaders yet.

If he's a companion, they don't want that released yet, either.

If it's an itty bitty teenie tiny role, I'm sure something would of slipped by now, unless they just aren't prioritizing it. But I still think if not a companion, he's going to have some big part to play. Greg Ellis's slip-up combined with Cullen image leak and War Room concept art says that to me, at least.

Other than the first four, the rest are still rumored, at least in my opinion. I've come to take the information in these magazines, of late, with a very LARGE grain of salt.

 

As for Cullen, in DG's blog he states that VOs with a very large part can have 20-30 sessions that will be spread out over months. So it's possible that GE is still doing VO work.

Her face looks... dead... in all these screen shots I wish they could make her smile or smirk or frown or something. Her eyes seem lifeless, too.
