Isn't Vivienne the Orlesian Court Mage? I ask because of this:

Nah not really, it was an incredibly early build and they just loaded up a map and told us to "do things". I don't even know much about the main story, I remember it has to do with some guy who's leader of a faction known as the red templars trying to get into the black city but I think they changed the red templars.

What I do remember the most was this quest where you and your party attended the orlesian empress's ball in order to make connections and allies for the inquisition, the game gives you three different allies to go after (The empress, her brother who commands the army, or an elven noble trying to vie for power in orlesian politics) and half way through you discover a plot by the red templars to assassinate the empress so you need to find clues and converse with the suspects to find out who it is it's the baroness and after the who escapade morrigan who's been the orlesian court mage this whole time is ordered to assist the inquisition

 

That's from the link I posted a little eariler regarding the Red Fists/Golden Keys/Purple Crows thing.

I think the first time was partly due to the fact that the game hadn't even been officially announced at that point. BUT, the fact that he was in the booth so early on says something to me. If he was just a cameo then in theory he'd be going in to do his lines around now. He was in there early, and there's obviously a good reason for that. He must be something important, be it a companion or important npc.

 

I know, and I think you're right (about why he wasn't allowed to talk about it initially) but I'm talking about right now! Considering he tweeted the first time he was in the booth, I suspect he'd tweet again if he were in it again. I also suspect BioWare (Caroline Livingston, et al) would've tweeted about it (even jokingly, knowing how popular Cullen is). GE also would be able to respond to simple tweets asking if Cullen's in the game. Which... it seems he can't still lol

I'm still in the camp that doesn't think Cole will make it in, Cullen has a better chance imo. I can't see them going with a 6:3 ratio ...

for some reason i think sigrun as a chance of being where cole is.

Speaking of first playthroughs, assuming Cullen does have a somewhat major part, will anyone pick all the "happy Cullen" choices (lol) even if it's not what you think your character wants? Just so you don't miss out on his romance?

 

My first playthrough tends to be the least consistent, tone-wise, of any playthrough, so I'm pretty sure that's what I'll end up doing. (I just want people to like me!)

CULLEN: Mages can be dangerous, though.

INQUISITOR: [omg youre so pretty] Oh, yes, mages, dangerous, sure!

 

This is also why I have so many planned playthroughs, because the first one is generally me blundering my way around with the guide and slobbering all over my favorite characters, regardless of my own chosen characterization. It's only later that I'm able to distance myself from my characters, and so I'm able to be mean or disagreeable. (I think part of this stems from my utterly frantic compulsion to do all the quests, and in Bioware games, if the characters don't like you enough, you don't get the quests. That sounds like it's changing this time around, though, for which I am so grateful.)

 

So, as a weak, weak person, I know I'll end up on my nose from falling all over myself a few times. I kind of hope the game calls me on it though.

I know my first playthrough is gonna end soooooo badly! I get very overwhelmed when I don't know where I'm going or what I'm supposed to do next... I enjoy it though!

I'm in the same boat as well my first playthrough's always ends horribly, they're so fun though!I like it when I'm surprised by the plot and characters whether it's in positive or negative way.

I liked Sigrun (I mean from the one time I played DA:A) but I'd rather a new character!

Touching? I would think Morrigan might be too bitter towards Flemeth...although at this point I do think Flemeth is trying to help the world, even in her own crazy, mysterious ways.

Maybe Flemeth just says something really poignant about the seriousness of the situation? Like: "Hey Inquisitor, to put a stop to this veil tear you have to sacrifice yourself and lose everything you love, yes, even Cullen! Trololololololooooooool!" (But far more eloquent!)
