I would think that'd speed your way to ghoul even faster, because you are actively using the Taint and letting it run through your body as a weapon.
In the research notes, I think it was, it states that he was also looking for a way to contain or slow the taint.
And then the entire Cullen fandom flips ALL the tables!

With all this talk of Callings and taint and SAD, ALL THE SAD (No. Alistair's immune because, well, reasons. Who cares. No!), we need more Jensen Ackles, I think.
It occurs to me that I think Jensen Ackles would make a spot on Alistair. He just has to master the Ferelden accent!

Apparently he's super nice in real life. Personally I find the guy absolutely terrifying, I'd be scared to approach him in case he launched into sass mode and verbally battered me with his sharp tongue!
I feel the same too. He seems like he is super nice in person, but that SASS is out of this world

Well, putting my Feelingins aside--no, really--and speaking from straight logic and what I perceive to common sense: I would be totally surprised if they did not include a Templar perspective in DAI. Especially! with the Red Templars running amok and apparently razing the land. There would need to be a counterbalance.
They try very hard to keep things balanced. Sometimes to the point that it's a lil goofy--like w/having to fight both Meredith and Orsino cuz they didn't want it to look biased.
And really, in DA2, our only Templar perspective was actually Cullen. Fenris was anti-mage cuz of the horrors he endured in Tevinter. But that was more an info dump on Tevinter than anything specifically Templar related.
Now that this conflict has exploded, I would really be surprised if they did not include a counterweight to what we're seeing and having to deal with ---the Cray Red Templars (amongst other things).

Many would say that Cassandra brings the Templar POV, since the Seekers are basically Templar's promoted to a higher status above the Order itself. However, Cullen's the only one that's literally seen it all, from DA:O, right through DA2 and now DAI. I don't think there's anyone more suited for the task from a storyline perspective!

The thing with Cass is that I don't believe she was a Templar before she became a Seeker. So, I think she resembles more of a pro-Chantry perspective than a Pro-Templar, and there is a whole world of nuance and difference between those viewpoints.
