Am I unusual in that I never ignore anyone?

Nope. :) I do occasionally scroll real fast past people's posts if I know they're prone to...ahem...express opinions I find disagreeable. :D

Seriously, though, I only spend any time at all here, and ya'll (even when you're feisty and ranty) are pretty shiny. :D

I'm the opposite of you guys; I think I have like 20 people on my ignore list now, lol! After a long hard day at work, I just want to browse the forums during my "happy time." Anyone who disrupts my happy time gets put on "The List" :P

I have seven, but I want another one so I can have a nice number.

Batteries, which direction are we talking here? North? West?

The thing with Cass is that I don't believe she was a Templar before she became a Seeker. So, I think she resembles more of a pro-Chantry perspective than a Pro-Templar, and there is a whole world of nuance and difference between those viewpoints.

But in the Making of Vid on DotS, MLaidlaw makes a point of saying that Seekers are recruited from the templars. Best of the best. Doesn't say it explicitly about Cassandra, but the implication is there.

I am aware, and yet she seems way too young in DotS to have been a templar long enough to get recognized and then rise to Seeker status. Nonetheless, we have yet to see her negate magic yet, so I guess we will figure it out soon enough.

No, like there's a Snorlax in the Vatican and an Espeon in Zurich! You have to find and catch them!

Maybe she was selected when she was still in training and before her vows?

I find this skin more soothing and calm on my eyeballz

oooh how do you do that?? I've been using a hack.

I have twenty myself, but I think a handful are from that ME2 spoiler frenzy that happened a long while back. I usually only ignore trolls, though, so I don't know if that really counts?

This might make for an interesting dynamic with Cullen though - if she rose to the top without paying her official dues via the Templars.

Hey, yeah! Perhaps she thinks she knows all about Templars and the Templar lifestyle, but really has no clue, or only what her Seeker training told her about. That could be interesting. (Maybe she even acknowledge her lack of insight, and maybe pushes the Inquisitor to collect Cullen for his invaluable perspective.)

It's in the lower left corner of the screen where it says "change theme". It's a drop down menu when you click it and the new theme is bioware beta. I had trouble finding it myself... no, no, Bev, your OTHER left!

yeah, hard to say. Templars seem to start out at age 15, so she's probably got 3-5 years.

(and ******, hell, how many pages have I been behind. jeez louise.)

Well, even if you take Cullen's DA:O age as just a guideline, he only recently took his vows, and he's 23. Templars seem to start at age 15. And Keran had been training for five years already before he got his knighthood. So, I think they train for a quite a while.

Didn't he also say they had unique abilities too?

The only powers a Seeker could have would be Templars, and the only we have seen to be a Seeker and have Templar powers is Lambert, and he seemed to be a special case.

I don't see why this would be true. The Seeker codex talks about quite a range of powers.

I thought Gaider or Laidlaw once said they had different abilities, and that'd we'd see them in inquisition. Who knows...

Are there red seekers? that's the real question.

So if she started at 15 (not sure that's a hard and fast rule but we'll use it) and she trained for 5 years like Keran did, she'd be 20-21 - roughly - during DotS. I still wish we knew when Cullen took his vows. I know, in DAO, he said it was all pretty new to him but how new is new? People can say that after a year. Or he could have taken vows and had some kind of lesser knight duties at the Chantry for a while before being stationed at the tower; so it was the tower assignment that was new... I dunno. 5 years seems a bit excessive and if they start at 15, how could Cullen have a feeling of being new at the age of 23 unless the age they start training is more subjective or Cullen himself was new to the tower. *sigh* so much I wish to know!

Lord have mercy, I hope there aren't red Seekers. That'd be probably worse than Red Temps.

And where would the Seekers even get their powers, other than from lyrium? Granted, I could see maybe upper level Seekers using more advanced magical negation
