I just hope one of those 40 endings gives us the option for our Inquisitor to live and not lose everything he/she loves in the process, LOL!

 

Me too! I like having some element of danger/sacrifice but I don't want a sad ending to be the only choice.

 

As people have said, though, the fact that you can continue the game after the main plot suggests to me that your character doesn't have to die or lose everything, so I'm not too worried.

 

Speaking of first playthroughs, assuming Cullen does have a somewhat major part, will anyone pick all the "happy Cullen" choices (lol) even if it's not what you think your character wants? Just so you don't miss out on his romance?

 

It depends on the importance of the choice. If it means, for example, my character being a little more diplomatic than she otherwise would, then sure. If it means going majorly out of character or doing things she finds morally repugnant, though, then no. If she has to change who she is, it isn't meant to be.

I think everyone might have a different opinion on what is evil. I don't see the Templar Order as evil, I might see it as a necessary evil.

 

Yeah, same. I don't think the Templar Order is inherently evil. I think it is in many ways misguided, but that's different. I think individuals in the Order are evil, but that's different too. 

 

Personally, I think some version of templars will always be necessary to protect mages and to protect the rest of the population from mages who can't or won't control themselves. That version could look totally different than the current system - maybe should - but ultimately there needs to be something.

 

I don't have the energy to get into an argument over this, and it's fine if anyone/everyone disagrees.

Oh man, April Fools is not my favorite holiday, to put it mildly. I am not looking forward to work tomorrow!  My residents are clearly up to some April Fools shenanigans that I suspect I will not enjoy nearly as much as they do. 

 

To be fair, there is... some possibility I abetted an early prank involving a scary clown doll. What can I say, it was funny, I am weak!

In DAO Alistair said Wardens had about 30 years give or take.

Gaider later clarified that he didn't mean that a Warden always lives for 30 years, but that this is the max lifespan they could expect. The lifespan goes from 10 to 30 years. It varies from person to person, and the Blights speed the taint process.

On an unrelated note, did anyone watch the HYMYM finale?

In regards to others! Does anyone have a link to a video of Cullen talking to the Male Mage in origins? I've read the actual conversation tree but I haven't ever played a male Mage in DA:O or seen a video of the reaction : )
