Aww   They're going to make me cry, but I love super emotional moments in video games so I'm sort of ok with that.  When my first Hawke rode off into the sunset with Anders I pictured her doing everything in her power to keep Anders safe and sane, ruthlessly destroying anyone or anything who tried to hurt him.  The tragedy and sweetness of his character definitely triggered my protective instincts   In my head, if something awful happens to Anders, Thedas better prepare for Falion Hawke to MESS **** UP.  In fact, my heartbroken Hawke might be behind the Veil tears.

Oh man, Essery is the exact same.  (Aggressive!Fem!Hawke is the best.) Roaring rampage of revenge, man.

 

It'd be like that for either of my main characters, actually. Ceyrion Mahariel would hunt down and slaughter anyone who harmed or who tried to harm Zevran. (I love grumpy, over-protective characters.) Ashtal will be the same for whoever her LI is (CULLEN. SHUT UP IT WILL BE CULLEN.)

By the way, the absolute worst thing for us would be for Greg Ellis to make a similar announcement within the next couple days. We do NOT want Cullen in the studio at the same time as NPCs like Anders and Alistair!

Did you see David Gaider's blog post on voice overs?  Something he said made me feel uneasy about the timing of Greg Ellis' initial VO tweet.

 

"Once the characters are cast—and this process takes place quite late in development, as you want those lines as settled and final as they can possibly be—the scripts start being printed."

 

What do they consider "quite late in development?"  Would the time that Greg Ellis tweeted he was doing VOs for Bioware be considered late in development?  Would the companion scripts have been complete at that stage?

Here's something that's come to me (then I gotta dash off to work): Cass is a 2H warrior in the survey leak, while the Grey Warden is a S&S. I believe Cass was only given S&S in the demos because the inquisitor was 2H. So at least we don't have to feel like Cullen would be a 3x redundant S&S warrior.
