Hmmmm....so many naughty thoughts. Ahem.   Anyway, I've pondered the same thing.  The thing is, Cullen's been through some pretty tough stuff. He's already had some huge illusions shattered.  I'm not sure that he can be thought of as being as idealistic as an unhardened Alistair, at least not at this point.  That's not to say that I expect he won't have maintained many of his ideals.  I just don't think he'll be seeing everything in stark black and white anymore.  Of course, that is assuming he'll even be around (which I obviously think he will).

In the illustration you see Cullen after the fight with Hawke and Meredith (DA2 ending).  He is in his own chambers in Kirkwall,  looking at a wooden altar of Andraste, and a Chantry Amulet (on a red velvet pillow) overthinking what just happened.
