I wish MY kids had that superpower!
Heck,I wish *I* had that superpower! That's awesome!!
From ThinkGeek? I was just eyeballing those this afternoon!
Possibly? They were a gift. They light up (they come with their own batteries) and are sooo awesome.
In the dark they are bright red. A bit hard to grab food with them, but still possible.
Well, I like it too. Great name.
I think it means "noble" in Elvish or something similar.
So much wonderful fanart.

About the list of names for the PC in DAI, I already choose some:
Dwarf: Thorin Cadash
Oh,I like Thorin! My Dwarfquisitor is based on him as far looks and Personality are concerned...
My Dalish name will probably Eiria. Which is based on the Welsh word "Eirias," meaning "blaze," if I recall. It's the name of a magic crystal sword in the The Dark Is Rising series, that can determine the ultimate fate of the world.
ThinkGeek... I could spend so much there.
Along with Perpetualkid.com
You all should looksie at that site if that sorta stuff interests you. I'm very fond of all the cupcake and mustache things that have been coming out lately.
And this doesn't really have anything to do with the genre of the sites above, but since I was just looking anyway, figured I'd say I also blow extra moolah on Fright-Rags.com (high quality original horror designs) and SourPussClothing.com (housewares always have some nice alternative things.)
I don't usually participate in debates about Merrill, at least not as much as some might think, because it frequently makes me too angry to speak coherently. But I wonder if some common denominator in this thread leads to so many rivaling her. Some sort of misguided "mothering" instinct, perhaps? It doesn't seem to speak of the same brute lack of caring that many templar partisans show.
I always have a problem with Merrill not getting full friendship, I don't know why. I usually try to get her as high as possible friendship and mostly side with the mages, so there is no problem. I fully rivaled her once, because I wanted to go the Templar path and I didn't want to fight her, I also fought her before on a Templar run.
Anyway I disagree with both side, friendship and rivalry. I get that you want to tell her to think about the BM and the demons, but it should have been a different tone. I also understand that she is an adult and can make her own decisions and put her own life in danger if she wants too, but that all changed when she brought the mirror to Kirkwall and put innocent people in danger.
I can't just sit there and say "yeah BM is fine no problem, demons are not dangerous" when we clearly know different and kill other mages when they use BM, isn't that kind of hypocritical?
At the end it's just a game and Merril is just a character. I'm not pro templar or pro mage, I sided with both sides and I can see both their points and their flaws. Does that make me an uncaring person? I don't think so. I think it is a bit unfair to judge people on what choices they make in a game, just because they might want to see the different scenarios.

Xil, I don't know if this helps, but I usually rival Merril for selfish reasons. I just think the mirror is a dumb idea, and I don't want to be a part of it. So I choose the options that are closest to "Do what you want, but I won't help." I like her personally, and I don't like being mean. I just don't like being a part of the whole mirror thing. It's just a shame that, since it's my game, the only way she can do certain things is if I help her do them. So for me it's not about thinking I know what's best for her, but that I think I know what's best for me, and so I run afoul of the downside of the rivalry/friendship system. For ex, it drives me crazy that Marethari won't just give the arulenholm directly to Merrill, but instead has to involve me in it. (FWIW, when I friend her, I pretty much try to take the same approach).
Better late than never right? ![]()

Wait. What? Remove....what? Oh God, no....I thought we were saving the embargoes! ![]()
Hi,
Emily is way more popular where I'm from than Emma (Emily is always near the top of the most popular girls names lists) but I've always liked Emma better probably because of Jane Austin.
It's a good name.
On another note Adela's embargo made me giggle and blush! I'm too OLD to giggle and blush like a school girl.
LIKE
LOL! How does he feel about that? Is he weirded out or just ok with your wacky antics? My partner has nooooo idea about this pixel crush of mine. I conned him into growing a goatee and don't want to get busted for it. Man he looks hot with it though lol! More evil villain than knight Captain but still 10 out of 10 lol!
My husband and I have been married a very long time. He's just glad I'm still interested in them. Embargoes, I mean. ![]()
I find some people also react to Merrill and the mirror all because they're aware of what happens in the Dalish origins with the mirror.
So I try to forget that, since Hawke shouldn't be aware at all. Even the clan shouldn't be fully aware, only the Dalish warden and Tamlen, and possibly Duncan, should know the real threat isn't exactly the taint (of which Merrill fixes) but the threat -in- the mirror. Tamlen did say something was looking back at him.. my guess was it's a gateway, like how Morrigan used one and stepped thru it in Witch Hunt.
And that'll be what happens with it in Inquisition. Since whoever is at the place on the other side no doubt knows how to activate it.
I'm neutral on blood magic, so didn't dislike Merrill for that. I thought everyone treated her horribly without having full knowledge of anything, just based on blood magic, and fear she'd bring the demon to the clan. Of which their Keeper ended up doing. In the past, I thought that a good thing. Now it just sort of annoys me, to be honest. I blame game mechanics, mostly.
They spend so much time in lore telling you how hard it is to fight a Pride demon, but in-game... nope. So the dangers don't really phase me. I would of liked to of seen what would of happened had the Keeper not done that.
I also -hate- how devs think rivalry with her is "good". One reason was because she needs to see it's bad to give up her clan/family for the mirror.
But even if she gave up the mirror and went back pre-Act 3, they'd of still treated her like dirt.
But my Hawkes won't. I just don't agree with most of the rivalry system and I find most people have to head-canon their reasoning behind choosing it, since in-game dialogue choices are just.. pretty bad, for the most part. You make Merrill depressed and worthless feeling, Anders gets even more manic, morose, and even suicidal, etc.. They really should of did it better, since I took most rivalry gaining choices akin to villainous choices for mean playthrus.
I just had a thought. What if that mirror ends up in our main base of operation and starts spilling out with demons whilst we're away/asleep?

Oooooooooo.

Let the cleaners deal with it.
Oooooooooo.
Do you remember in the second Tomb Raider game when Lara's mansion gets attacked whilst she's asleep? Maybe something like that, but on a grander scale. Like, our Inquisitor and LI are asleep together in bed, all of a sudden they're woken by screams and someone bursting in warning them that they're under attack etc. Or, maybe it happens when we're on the road and we come back to find the place in a right mess.
... Hopefully it won't kill anyone important living in there.
Have I missed anything?
