When the game first came out I found it completely impossible to get the "bestest" ending. I did everything possible except the multiplayer and my ems was so far off where it needed to be for it.

Yeah I can see that. When I first started playing, I didn't have any DLC except the extended cut, plus I didn't know about the planet scanning. Therefore, my ems was only around 2700.

You either need to have Frapps or play in windowless mode and do a screen capture and paste it into a graphics program.

Yeah, you needed multiplayer to get the best ending originally. Fortunately the extended cut sorted that out.

OK guys since you've been talking about ME and how awesome it is I found the trilogy pack at the PX on post for $40 ... Hopefully its good I just wanna see what all the fuss is about  

 

YAY!!! I'm so excited for you!!! Narratively speaking, it is pure gold, even better than Dragon Age (which is fairly generic as far as fantasy worlds and concepts go). Now when it comes to companions and dialogue, DA wins for me, but the story, now, that's all ME. You will cry, especially by the time ME3 rolls around. And even if you aren't a sci-fi fan, I think some revelations will make your eyes bug out and your mouth fall open.

 

The graphics hold up excellently and being a FPS gamer before finding DA, I had no problems with the combat, but if you DO, just persist It is worth it. FYI when I first started playing Halo with my friends all I could do was make my character walk around in circles. A year later I was racking up 20+ kills per game and beating everyone. It is a matter of practice makes perfect... or at least, practice enough and you'll be able to sludge through the combat to appreciate the amazing story

to be honest, I've never played ME1.. I got it on the PS3, and at the time ME1 wasn't available, so I went straight into 2, and 2 weeks later ME3 came out

 

Oh wow, go back and play ME1! That's where all the relationships are first formed. And there are two jaw-dropping moments in ME1; they are gaming experiences that I've not felt in any other game.

I never understood the complaints about multiplayer. Yeah, it shouldn't affect the ending or singleplayer, but it really wasn't necessary, even before the extended cut, depending on your choices. And ME3 is one of those games that really drove me to complete it 100% each and every time as well.

 

It WAS necessary, if you didn't import an ME1/2 playthrough. You died no matter what. It sucked.

I envy you, no game is ever as good as the first game you play it IMO.

I'm sure you'll love them, as much as I love Dragon Age, the ME games will always be my favourite, and ME3 my favourite out of them (taking the unpopular line, it's my thing).

 

I feel the same way about the ME trilogy. As for which is my favorite, it's a tie between ME1 and ME3. ME1 had those jaw-dropping moments that brought chills to my skin, whereas ME3 had all the tearful moments lol

 

ME2, to me, is the one you could conceivably skip... buuut it has its moments as well. And also, Legion.

lol thanx now that I look at it I think her nose is a bit small tho, Im a lil disappointing that I dont have that many options for hair, most of them are short or in a bun

I know I've shared my Shep before, but why not again I think he's pretty cute, even if he does have droopy eyes. I kind of like how in ME you can't really make this god-like character... s/he always has a few flaws LOL

It sucks, but technically speaking, she's a soldier, so it makes sense.
