With the eluvians, they don't just correspond to other mirrors. You can use them to teleport people to nearly anywhere, and you DON'T need a mirror on the other side. You could literally drop an army anywhere in Orlais in the blink of an eye. And it's possible that maybe the reverse is true as well, that you could recall them back through the mirror from anywhere. This seriously just upped the odds of the Dalish to win over Orlais.
