Yeah that's what made me dislike Liara in ME1. She really comes on to you, and then assumes something about you and the other squad mate (Ashley in my case). I found that dialog sequence difficult to navigate since I wasn't interested in either, but the game seemed to think I was supposed to choose one.

grrr this is pssing me off I reloaded but the options to make him sort of stand down are un available.. is it because I havent taked with him enough or something... Ash ends up killing him everytime
If you have a save before going to Virmire, there is a quest that Wrex can give you. Do that quest, and you can save Wrex.

Other option, since you're playing on PC, download Gibbed's ME Save Editor, load up your save file and alter your paragon/renegade points that way. Just save it in Gibbed, load up the save you altered in-game and viola!

Yeah, if I remember correctly you had to have a certain amount of persuade or intimidate points and you had to have done his personal quest =/

Just one or the other, iirc. It has been many years since I played ME1, though.

I always manage to play paragon and by that point I have charm maxed out. But I think saving Wrex hinges on the family armor mission.

No, no--I'm almost certain that it's one or the other. I remember looking up ways to save Wrex for my brother, who was having the same problem. If you do the armor mission, you won't even make it to the paragon/renegade option. He will immediately stand down. Without the armor mission, you will need high enough paragon or renegade points to talk him down.
EDIT: Okay, just double-checked. He does not immediately stand down, but selecting the NORMAL upper right option will talk him down but only if you've done his Family Armor mission.

Yeah, I could never play my canon shep as fully para or renegade so I was all over the place. As a result I had to combat my way through most of the time.I always manage to play paragon and by that point I have charm maxed out. But I think saving Wrex hinges on the family armor mission.
Wrex's armor takes priority but I'd go for gibbed save edit. Too much hassle to reload methinks.

The thing about know-it-all husbands (I have one of those too) is that every once in a blue moon they do actually know something. It's just a tricky thing to gauge and sometimes we miss it. Anyway, sounds like maybe you need a lot of rest and some hot soup. Hope you mend quickly!
LOL Luckily so far mine's clever enough to avoid uttering the "I told you so" words... so far.
Thanks!

With aged graphics, clunky controls, crazy Mako rides and co. there is still something so captivating about this game. And Kaidan is my favourite Shep's soulmate so he'll always have a sweet spot in my heart.

And don't worry if you've missed out on a Kaidan romance, since in the next games it's much clearer for you and in ME3, you can easily start something with him.

Keep Wrex alive if you want to be a good person later, but you have to make sure Thane is alive.
Also, Kaiden turns bisexual in ME3.... just in case you were curious...

No, you get sexy time just before the final mission. It's the same way in all the ME games. Kinda dumb if you ask me.

Man, all this talk is making me want to go replay ME1. For some reason it's bugged on my PC though, and whenever I try to load it up nothing happens. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling it and nothing has worked ![]()

I'm putting the disc into my Xbox now! Even got the knife ready for when the Mako parts rear their ugly heads.
Hope you can get yours working!

I would love ME1 more if I had a version of it apart from the terrible PC port.
