Hello , I've been lurking this threat for a while ...
It seems it's where all the fun is .

Anyway , not a big Cullen fan ...Don't hit me , or throw me away...he's hot and his voice is sweet ( sweet and manly)but I don't know why....he 'll always be that wierd templar in the circle of ferelden...I remember my very first playthrough , he just broke my heart , running away from my pc.
I kind of bought DAo because i read "romance " somewhere ,so at first when i spot him I was like "Yeah, sexy time with a knight!" Knight run away scared ....me disappointed.

I'm not sure i want to take a revenge on him , he kind of scared me later , and made me think it was finally for the best that we didn't rub our pixels together.

Anyway I do hope he's a companion ,there's nothing more frustrating than a Hot pnj that you can't put your virtual hands on.
It's something i experienced many time in video games , so i really sympathize.

Ah, welcome, reznore, and no need to apologize! Indeed, I'll be the first to admit Origins!Cullen didn't do it for me. The running away also put me off... It wasn't til I convinced myself he was in love with my Hawke that I came to appreciate him for his intricacies and foibles ... and of course his smokin'' hot mug.

Honestly, at this point I just want to go on a date with him and do the getting to know you stuff.

Hi. New to the forum and to the thread. Just thought I'd de-lurk for a while.

I liked the way Cullen's redemption story was handled in the series, and I'd really like to see him as an LI or companion in DAIII, especially with him once having been Meredith's right-hand man. He sounds like he'd have an interesting perspective.

Honestly , I think he will be fine , maybe somebody gonna frown about it but I doubt they would fire him or anything.

It's not like Bioware never done such things as leaving files in a demo ,with basically all the main game scripted in it or anything ...

And no I don't think its been done in a hurtful way - more playful. These things happen. Its the fans that are using it - not Bioware employees as far as I've seen.

Ooooh! Shiny new people! Hello! And welcome to our little corner of madness. I'm glad so many seem to like this place even if they're not the biggest Cullen fan. Who knows? Maybe DAIII will turn you into one?

As for Greg, I think he probably had just learned his VO session was for Cullen and got excited and probably didn't think of the fact that the game hadn't been officially announced and tweeted his enthusiasim. Or maybe it would have been fine if it had been any other character but Cullen because the devs want to keep the possible companion list under wraps - especially Cullen. They know we've been asking for him and so they wanna wait for the opportune moment for maximum impact. Greg tweeting about doing Cullen's dialogue partially ruins that surprise. I doubt he received disciplinary action because he didn't let on to what extent he's voicing Cullen or why. All we know is that Cullen is most likely in the game now so BioWare still has a bit of surprise up their sleeve for us.

Perhaps I'm just too much the optimist but that's my thinking. Why else would that tweet have been yanked so quickly? Had it been some nobody on the dialogue sheet, Greg probably wouldn't have tweeted who it was and even if he had, the tweet may not have been taken down so quickly, if at all. BioWare knows that there have been rumors and hints at a new game and letting little stuff out just helps to build hype and keep us guessing about if they're making DAIII. Letting out stuff that not only confirms the games existence but also partially ruins other big things is a no-no.

So I still have my hopes up. Actually they're more up now than they were before.

If I remember rightly Steve Valentine tweeted about Alistair making an appearance in DA2 and that he had been "in the booth" before it was official announced and he never took the tweet down or got told off for it. Sooooo maybe the reason Greg had to take his down was because Cullen will be playing a bigger role than just a cameo/NPC? Like full on companion/LI material?
