I just tweeted this where he asked for questions:
@ellisgreg Does Cullen have ambient dialogue where he speaks with other party members while exploring throughout the game?

20 hours in the booth in total so far, 5 sessions to date, each lasting 4 hours.
Naw, I don't think there's any point in not being excited. All he did was confirm what we already knew: CULLEN IS IN! The rest is just icing. Uncertain sexy, raunchy icing.
Not a companion, player character.

I feel like we're trying to communicate in code to get things past our overlords.
BLINK ONCE IF CULLEN IS SHIRTLESS IN A SCENE.
BLINK TWICE IF PANTSLESS.
"Bullshit! Did you mean YOU are romanceable? Tell me the truth!"

well that makes 20 hours........... sooooooooooooooo does that make him a companion??????? Man why can they just come out and say it.. grrrrrr
Fudge, I'm getting confused by all the information everywhere, one saying he could be a companion/Li, then other info about not being a companion/don't read too much into it, devs saying don't get too excited. Overload in my head... need...to...take...a...step...back...and...
I am going to the gym!
See ya all later!! ![]()
20-30 hours
Has it been confirmed by a dev or VO for BioWare how long a player character is in the booth for??

Depends if they're sticking to the old way of working, I guess. I mean, DAI is a big game...
*snicker* I hadn't trotted these out in a while.
"Felicitate me?"
Oh Maker! I giggle snorted out loud and Hubs is like "You STILL giggling over that guy?"
Last night I explained to him what was going on and he was like "Cullen? You mean that vampire? I thought you hated him?"
So then I hard to remind him about his DAO playthrough and the knight that wanted all the mages slaughtered and then had to hurry up with "but he was totally over that by DA2 and actually went more moderate later in the game" because I was getting a funny look! lol!
Out of likes again! *pouts*

But the approx. number DG gave was 20-30 four hour sessions, not 20-30 hours. And it's not clear whether by "player character" he meant "protagonist" or "non-NPC".

Yes, player character has 20-30 sessions of 4hrs ea. (someone quoted DG in thread earlier)
Wouldn't it be nice if Mike Laidlaw or DG confirmed things 100% when Greg posts that picture of him in the studio next week, or whenever he's back in there.
I am recording more @dragonage with @bioware next week. I will post a photo from the studio. #Cullen #greatfans

This is what Anya Potato Cat posted earlier:

"Each script will be a single conversation file, with a “sitsyn” at the top (the “situation synopsis”, a description for what’s basically happening in that conversation, written by the writers to give some overall context). They get sorted in chronological order, and enough will go to the actor for a single session—which lasts about 4 hours on average. In that 4 hours, a VO actor can get through about 200-400 lines (depending on the complexity of the scenes—very emotional scenes can require a lot of takes). So a big character will need multiple sessions over a period of time. A player character could require, say, 20-30 sessions over a period of months."

Here it is guys, it's 20-30 sessions for the player character, not a companion.
I was at work, so using my phone gave me limited access... especially at the rate the thread moves.
Ah. Phone access is really limited. The thread killed my phone yesterday. So I couldn't keep up for a bit. At least I'm home as this news is coming out. It'd be killing me if I had to drive, knowing what I was missing!
Woah! Well then, looks like he's a biggie!
