Here it is guys, it's 20-30 sessions for the player character, not a companion.
Very true. So, player-character is, at most, 120 hours. So, for a companion, what? Eighty hours? Sixty?

I'm just so glad he's at the very least, IMPORTANT to the game.
With 40 possible endings/ending variations, the inquisitor has to survive in AT LEAST 1.
So then maybe he/she can live happily ever after with Cullen!

If he did, I certainly can't find it.

Ah, and he's done 5 sessions so far... 6 next week. Hm, well I guess we'll have to see if he announces next weeks one as the last.

The problem is, we don't know how DA:I compares to its predecessors. Maybe this time around it's 40-50 sessions for the PC and 20-30 for a companion. We don't even know if characters will interact in the same ways as before! Aghghgh!

Not specifically, just "a big character will need multiple sessions over a period time" The fact that Greg Ellis has been recording lines w/ them since 2012 seems like a very good thing ![]()
Also, if he's clocked in about 20hrs of recording, that's like 800-1600 lines! I think it's safe to say that Cullen will be more than just a brief cameo.

I think the nine companions thing will keep the number of sessions from rising too much.

Well, it's already better than what we got out of him in the previous two games!

Seriously though, he could very easily have meant "player character" as opposed to "Non-Player Character". We don't know for sure whether he meant protagonist or companion. And now I will shut up about this, I promise.

Indeed. I remember that right around the time he posted that in 2012, they had just gotten Kate Mulgrew for her time in the booth as well.
Side note, does anyone know who voices Vivienne?

If he's not a companion, I think it's a safe bet that he's the leader of one of those factions that we utilize as the Inquisitor like you predicted way back when. Either way, that "raunchy" tweet has me freaking out all over the place
I really hope it just wasn't Greg Ellis being silly/teasing

Nah, but I do feel compelled to take some kind of vengeance on you.
But please, keep refuting the claims, so we can poke holes in your arguments to prove that Cullen is a companion! Yay! Science!

Usually when they talk about a "player character" it's the character that we control/create/etc. I've never seen any dev refer to a companion or npc as that, nor do I think Gaider would make a mistake like that when he is talking about someone other than our protag

We control the companions, though. So that could possibly count? ... We could ask?

Hey, I love that show!
Anyway, based on Greg's tweet about the raunchy lines, and sexy dialogue into a mic, along with the big part double entendre, lol, I think ... Unless he's totally trolling us, and I don't see him as that kind of guy... I think we're safe to assume that he is a romance-able companion.

Holy Moly! Finally caught up geez, I don't want to be asleep if the Devs actually confirm it, cause there is no way I'll read those hundreds of pages.
I just feel so nervous for him, I'm just waiting for him to get in trouble for telling too much, or for BW to say something like "Mr. Ellis misunderstood his part in the game." I know he said he is cleared, but I don't know, I got this nagging feeling ....
There is still the raunchy part though, so that's great.
