LOL I love that. It is rather foolish that folks keep assuming those things about the game based on a "pattern" of two games previous.
That's what I've been saying. Think how different DA2 is from DA:O. And DA2 was a quick, rushed thing. Now think of how much time and thought has gone into DA:I. I have a feeling it's not going to be a carbon copy of its predecessors.

Yeah, exactly. There's an old joke about scientists... the only important part being that, as an astronomer, I can easily make a case for three data points (the DA games) being examples of three separate populations with no relation to one another.

So here's my latest fear:
The raunchy dialogue. I now fear that this could be a one off thing, similar to sleeping with a prostitute or one of the Dalish elves in DA:O. Like maybe they throw in that you can flirt and sleep with Cullen as a kind of joke to his DA:O fans. But it's not a serious romance, nothing like Traynor or Cortez.

Why would they do that though?
Besides Cullen doesn't strike me as the type that would have a fling with someone he doesn't know well, just because he/she happens to important or smth...So I hope they don't go that route!

Could be. I mean after all, we could officially flirt with Aveline and Sebastian.

But regardless, if I can mock up a Hawke/Cullen romance in my head out of less... I'll be fine with whatever they do in DA:I

I'd be more afraid of them doing something like they did w/ Vega, adding in a chance to do the dirty but make it extremely awkward and he pretty much wants nothing to do w/ you afterwards
Oh Vega...you hurt me bad man

I doubt that. That seems almost... mean-spirited? I could see, perhaps, GE voicing some of DAI flavor of prostitute, but not as a joke. I mean, even with Joker in ME3, us FemSheps were thrown a bone in that we could confess our feelings for Joker. We were turned away, but we could do it. If the writers were to do something like that, I could see it. But not a joke.
Or, well, I hope not.

I also don't think they'd do it as a joke to be mean. I could see something limited and them thinking, "hey, we threw you a bone, Cullen fans. What more do you want when everyone else wants to murderknife the guy?"

Aww c'mon now, he can be a bit snarky on the forums and such, but as we've been told by those who have met him, he's actually a really nice guy! With what he and the other Bioware people have to put up w/, it's really decent of him to be as interactive w/ the fans as he still tends to be.
