I'm having this sneaking fear/suspicion that DG doesn't really like Cullen or the fandom that surrounds him. I just saw he told folks to take the discussion about Cullen elsewhere in the Twitter thread. He said the Twitter thread was only for posting Tweets, not discussing them. Yet if you go to the Twitter thread, it's still about 60% posting Tweets and 40% discussing them... just not about Cullen anymore, but apparently that makes it okay.
I'm concerned again
This doesn't worry me much - I get the sense he's just grumpy in general right now, not surprising seeing as they all seem to be working like mad. Crunch time brings out the bear in most people.

That could also have been to protect it from turning into a Cullen-bashing thread, though.
It's so fantastic. I think he favorited some more of the posts from the first day. Confession: I took a screenshot of his favorite of mine and saved it.
Haha, i'm totally not running off to do the same right now...nuh uh...no way....*gone*

Aww, i'm sure he will. so many replied back to him, it's probably taking him awhile to do them all lol
So I'm stuck at my house for the afternoon because I'm waiting for a technician to come replace my car windshield. I guess I will be spending my day on the forums and playing with Twitter and playing Guild Wars. So... today you guys are stuck with me! ![]()

The discussing of tweets is fine. It's the speculation about Cullen that needed to be taken elsewhere. And, while there is some conversation about the tweets, they generally only last at most a page and then move on. The Cullen discussion went on for quite awhile. Some people don't care about that, and track the Twitter thread for news. It's not fair for them to be sent a thousand emails about Cullen. ![]()
Also, I believe I am coming down with the bug my father had, so if I am not as concise, or if I make little sense, or my grammar skills abandon me, forgive me. ![]()

Personally I don't think it indicates anything significant.
Yeah people do talk about the tweets in that thread, but in this case 1.) the tweets in question could potentially generate a lot of conversation, and 2.) there are multiple other places where people are already having that conversation.
To be honest with you, I think it's more fair to the people who aren't interested in Cullen not to have that thread swamped with discussion they don't want to participate in.
Even if David Gaider doesn't particularly like Cullen (I've never gotten that impression, but hypothetically,) he's one person out of a team. I'm sure they all have characters they like and characters they don't like as much, but any individual writer's personal preferences don't necessarily speak to the game as a whole. ![]()

In fact, I think it's more likely the opposite if anything. DG has spoken well of us, and of Cullen, in the past.

My thoughts exactly. I think it's because a lot of people think it's a confirmation that another slot is taken (which will mean one slot less for people who want a different companion). That, and Cullen evoke strong reactions both positive and negative in the community (from what I have been reading)

I wouldn't be surprised iff he wasn't a little peeved at possibly more info being leaked than was supposed to be. I base that on Greg mentioning that it had been requested that he not reveal anymore info, or something along those lines.
I'm trying to find the post/tweet, but my search powers appear to be failing me today.
Can I just say that the last couple of weeks were great for us Inquisitors!
Alistair confirmed as a returning NPC;
Cullen will make an appearance (companion wise or NPC).
LIKE!!
Greg favorited one of my tweets, too!

Oh God, does he know? ![]()
True.
His opinion about the Mage-Templar war will be somehow important to me, since I always play as a mage.
my mage inquisitor: Jeeze Cullen, why do you always have to blame me when your clothes magically burn off your body all the time....
Cullen: *gives the look*
Oh God, does he know?
Based on the other things he's said, I'm guessing yes and he thinks it's funny. ![]()
You'll get fav too. And I want to say that I think your avatar is gorgious.
aww thank you, and maybe someday... someday... I shall be waiting...![]()

congrats and LOL
Yep.
I'm curious how NPCs will react when they meet a mage Inquisitor. The demon invasion and the war must affect people's opinion about mages.
and I'll be like this
Spoiler
Hahah!
OMG YES! LIKE
If they don't have a fourth female companion, I'm going to be highly annoyed. Though it'll be interesting to see what excuse they'll come up for to have her not be romanceable, as one's always existed for them thus far: Wynne sees herself as too old, Shale is functionally asexual, Bethany's a relative and Aveline's into someone else.
