Well I don't know if any of the Devs have talked about it but in Mass Effect 3 there were npc romances that weren't companions so maybe that's where we got it.

 

I definitely recall there being a suggestion there would be an NPC romance in DA2, but obviously that never made it to the final game.

That's probably why they never got in. It was said though, because I tried REALLY hard to romance Bran because of it.

Just keeping in mind that we're under heightened scrutiny not just from GE after this whole twitter thingie. I'm sure we've gotten several drive-by lurkers, in addition to devs peeking in. Avoiding the gutter isn't really a bad thing, to my mind right now...

I wouldn't assume that... Allan already started taking us to task over going OT.  I just think playing it safe can't hurt us... particularly when we're being watched by so many.

I think this is as good a time as any for everyone to remember again that this is a public forum. Even more public now than normal. The magnifying glass gets trained on us, things get taken out of context, besides the haters dropping by.
