I didn't really want to say anything when I first looked, because I didn't want to possibly get everyone's hopes up, but eh. Just remember that it's not an official confirmation of anything.

Thanks! I knew Alistair would have the most, but I'm surprised some of the others, (bar Sten), are so low. Very interesting. And now, I have to say I'm 100% on his companion status. If he's not, I'll need to buy a hat so I can eat it.
Actually, when I think about it, it makes sense. Alistair and Morrigan are in the game the longest. Leliana and Zevran are the other two LIs. And the rest are all about the same.
There's always alternate takes and plot changes and everything, but I like the sound of that.

Anora would be good to compare to. Perhaps Bodahn in DA2? Or Leandra. Just to see what important NPC's have.

One aspect I'd love, (maybe only appropriate to be romance exclusive content), would be confirmation he's still having nightmares after everything that happened in Ferelden. Returning to Kinloch Hold could prove incredibly interesting.
Another possible health/well-being issue that might come up, especially if he's a companion, is the lyrium addiction. I don't know if they'd actually go all the way with such an issue, though, other than having us procure a supplier or whatnot.

Followers have additional lines in other files, like the combat barks, party camp, some plot-related/quest related things, etc., but most of their lines are in their main files.
As for NPCs, I'm not sure, as I haven't looked at the line count for other NPCs.

Holy crap, no wonder this thread is crewzing along. GE confirming that he's coming back, is only going to let us speculate that much more woot.
Either he's a companion, an LI, or one of the dudes that helps controls the factions...or something important. Because if he wasn't doing something of importance, I don't think he would have bothered writing anything at all.
