I don't know, maybe I'm weird, but that is something I would like to explore. I've been curious about it ever since Alistair talked about it in Origins. For instance, can an addicted Templar ever get clean without losing his mind? If so, what would that involve? What if it requires blood magic? How would said Templar react to that? So many questions.

Oh yeah definitely. Even if does turn out to be degenerative and permanent, it'd be interesting to see how such a long period of time with lyrium has affected him.
And the blood magic would make for an interesting moral conundrum, (great word). He certainly wouldn't like it, but would he feel pressured to do it for the good of the Inquisition and the Inquisitor?

Exactly. That's precisely what I mean. It would be a really heavy thing to deal with, but really satisfactory if you could successfully help, and a whole lot of feels if you couldn't.

And I have no idea what I would do or what my Inquisitor would do. On one hand, he'll be less dead and less mental, on the other hand, it's forcing him to go against his own beliefs. Not to mention it sounds like it would have to be powerful blood magic to reverse the effects of the lyrium so would probably also have to include a sacrifice of some sort.

That is what I was thinking. Overcoming those obstacles or finding ways around them that's sustainable will be so fulfilling in the end.
