In theory they've been working on it for 2 years, if they started after DA2 like rumours claim. They could be at the testing/polishing stages for all we know lol.

Good point. Hm, bugger knows what they'll come up with this time then lol. They must be running out of questions by now, even the Sprint Review tweets have been dwindling since there can't be much left to discuss that's hint worthy. 

I was reading about VO actors in games and in what order the games are usually made and apparently the voiced dialogue is added in last, so they must be pretty close to getting the basic game done (despite Hepler claiming they'd only just come out of pre-produxtion), if that's true then surely they have something to show us now?

No, it is usually the other way around. Once production begins, voice actors are brought in to record their lines as soon as possible because the animators work from the audio files.

Really? Hm, the article lied to me lol. Either way, I think they have some gameplay or cinematic done as first draft because one of the team was tweeting about how epic it looked.

Maybe! Pity she didn't say "companion" rather than "character", that would have been a definite confirmation, but she probably would have got in trouble for that lol.

I think you're both right - artists and programmers would have to take the audio from the VA recordings to make the characters' lips and body and facial expressions match up, right?

But they definitely have something they could "show, not tell" at this point if they wanted to! For instance, if you've already casted a VO for a character you can easily show us some of their concept art without much fear.

Makes me wonder what other bits of info is gonna get leaked and/or revealed over the next few months.

They could show the cinematic scenes, or some fight sequences without voicing. The animators would be needed to match up with the actors though, so they'd be done after. If any subsequent scenes are needed the VA would be called in for pickups.

Exactly, they could just chuck some epic music over it lol. Didn't they show everyone a DA2 early rough cinematic with a silver haired Cassandra interrogating Varric?

Think back, also, to the trailer for DA:O with the characters that looked nothing like the in game Leliana and Morrigan. They can call it a concept and no one would complain.

Many different production items are done simultaneously, and different aspects of gameplay, graphics, and cimematics are independent of VOs.

My guess is that they are hip deep in production and will be chugging away at it for a while.

I guess it makes sense that they'd work the scene around the voiced dialogue so that they can get the mood, ambience and facial expressions right.

One of the bonuses of this whole survey leak thing, is that even if it's fake for the time being we have a title for our protagonist, so how when we write fan fic we can use it as a temporary name lol.

I kind of hate it , remind me of Terminator/predator.
Seeker sounded better but I kind of like a family name better than a title.
Better for love scene.
Though inquisitor work great for people into SM.

I think the concept art is quite interesting , it doesn't give a shiny armor kind of feeling.
Feels like the character been thru some stuff , I'm not a big fan of the fur ...maybe hints that templar are going a bit feral.
Cullen always seems to me like a clean armor kind of guy , he may be going a bit wild with every thing falling apart.

He got a half skirt/half trouser combo like I thought he would LOL! I like it... Except for the fur, cos it's a little too fruity for my taste!

I think the fur looks very rugged and Fereldan.  
Nice to see him going back to his roots now that he's probably a "free" man!

Plus you can see that under the fur/leather ensemble he's still wearing plate - so it's probably one of those removable customization options that you can choose not to put on him.
