So, It's almost time to go to bed lol but before I go, I just have a question:

 

In about 7/8 months you will have a copy of DA:I in your hands. Have you any idea how you are going to play it:

 

Are you going to play it alone? Or with friends/boyfriends/girlfriends/husbands/wifes etc..

Are you going to play it in one big session (like taking a week off from work/school etc..

Will you be focused mainly on the game or are you also visiting the forums and discuss/share certain events?

Hmm, good questions. 

 

1. Def alone. El husbando may want to play, but he can try it on his time. And on his laptop. With his own CD key. 

2. It will be catch as catch can for me at night after Number One Son goes to bed. If I'm lucky, I won't feel too guilty about (or be too busy) calling in sick for Release Day. 

3. I always spoil the romance details. So I'll be trolling for hints on how not to screw up. Still not sure what I'll be doing here... maybe sticking to the non-spoiler group.

I'll be playing alone (for my first playthrough I don't want any distractions, or someone telling me: I want to play now etc.. i know I'm weird lol)

It will be a long long session, non stop for a week i guess, and I will not be online I think. Almost certain!

And when i'm done I'll play again but with a different race (I always play as a human male mage for my first playthrough)

I will def be playing alone, and I will stay as far away from DA:I info on the interwebs as I can possibly get.

I wish I could dedicate the time to a nonstop kind of deal, but that is not in my cards.  I will probably be sleep deprived for a while, though.

When I'm finished the first playthrough, I will hit the net and see what everyone else is thinking, and then I will play again, different race, different class.

You knooow, I'm really trying not to get ticked off. We know Cullen is in the game. Is he a follower, or not? And I have No human males in the line up. In fact, tbh, only Varric has been Absolutely confirmed. Even Solas has not been Absolutely confirmed--has he?

 

Where are the men!?! The human men? We got two gorgeous human females, and sum sassy, but cute female elf--prolly, at any rate. But for the men I've got Varric--who is most likely Not LI. A qunari beast--who prolly is not an LI, and the elf guy--who prolly Is LI. Oh, and maybe the male version of Wynne in Beardy--who may not be LI if he's like Wynne's role.

You know, I was gutted by what DG posted.  It was like dumping cold water over my head.  But I've been thinking about it, and he did kind of focus on the assumptions that were being made (the # of lines, for example) based on VO session information.  It could be that he simply does not want any VO information similarly interpreted for any of the characters.  Perhaps it wasn't specific to GE, but rather a way of steering us away from that type of speculation altogether.  Does that make sense at all?

 

Completely! It was a very targeted statement, and I think nothing more should taken from it than what is there. Of course, if we followed that line of thought with anything one of the Dev's said, we'd have nothing to talk about.

These are my thoughts exactly.

 

Solas has been confirmed by gaming magazines but not ~officially~ by BioWare, I think. It's still assumed that he is a companion though since he's shown in combat in the magazine and with Cass and Varric.

 

But besides that -- who out of the line-up will be a LI if Cullen isn't? If Mr. Mustachio/Dorian/whatever is actually a companion I'm still not feeling it with the whole mustache. and such. lol

I agree with you on this. DG's tumbler post rather fanned the flames of speculation around GE's tweets. We simply don't know what goes on in a recording session and I'm quite sure that retakes happen a lot during them. And while GE stated that he'd had 5 sessions so far with a 6th planned for next week, we also don't really know if he's including any that he may have done in 2012. Those may have gone into the garbage dump with all the changes that occurred when the release date was extended. So, for me, I'm still hopeful.

Oh, I'll be playing it alone. That way I can reload conversations and listen to them again and again and again and try out every single dialogue choice without anyone bothering me.

 

I don't usually take time off work for a game release. I play after work, so with DA:I I anticipate many late nights of gaming and then walking around during the day in a hazed state of sleep deprivation, rehashing conversations and cutscenes in my mind while I pretend to function like a normal person.

 

I will probably be active on the forums up until I can get the game started. I love the hype and the excitement. After that I may attempt to stay away until I've finished my first playthrough, but I'm usually not very good at actually staying away, so I'll just have to wait and see if I manage.

1. With walkthrough-equipped, spoiler-insensitive husband on hand when possible to make sure I don't miss any companions or incredibly good and unusual items (like the sword for Arcane Warriors in DAO, where they're one of a kind).

2. I'm going to try to take a day off from school if I don't have Monday/Friday classes and knock out most of it over a game-binge long weekend.

3. I have yet to replay a video game all the way through, but who knows! I'll almost definitely be a human female mage for my first playthrough.

 

OMG yes, like, let US experience the influence of a desire demon for once!

I know it wasn't a desire demon but one of my two favorite moments in DA2 from a storytelling perspective was when that lady in the Blooming Rose was trying to get some information out of Hawke (I forget). I picked the option where the paraphrase basically said "Eat a butt" and Hawke told her exactly what she wanted to know anyway. I was so mad and so impressed at the same time. (The other was the level where Varric cleans out Bartrand's house on his own.. I rarely used him in the party so I was like "Damn, this guy's a badass, I need to bring him more often!" until I figured out what was going on.)

1) I will play it alone, since my only friend that plays games doesn't play Dragon Age (yet, but she will succumb eventually )

2) I don't have a job currently, but I don't really finish games in one session

3) I'll definitely visit the forums to see what people have to say about missions and stuff

They'll definitely be some human males in the party, I'd put money down on that. Definitely one in the Grey Warden, I think, and possibly another two in Cullen and Dorian (aka DHMG). I'm alright with waiting around for the rest to be announced. I mean, E3's just around the corner, it feels like, so stuff is going to start coming at us fast and furious once that passes, especially if the game is coming out in, what, October? It's practically here, I can almost smell that new-game scent. Mmmmm~

I loved it so much. I'm now actively looking for opportunities to use it in a sentence. Kinda like, "Azz shank". But I don't really get to use that one as much as I'd like...

Those are actually my two main gripes. I can deal with a ratio of 5 men and 4 women, but 6 to 3? That's ridiculous. I want a female dwarf rogue or just a female dwarf companion in general

So many people had been disappointed by his not being romanceable in DA2, and his romance was seriously considered but cut. I'd be rather surprised if he wasn't.
