I'm cracking up at how you're whispering. Personally, I loved Varric as my buddy, but I would not have romanced him if given the option. I wouldn't have been into it at all.

I'm not sure that I get the sudden downturn in excitement. I think it is now safe to assume that Cullen has some substantial role in DAI and that's more than we knew last week, for sure.
My own personal belief is that he's probably a companion and LI. I'm sticking with this pretty much because I want him to be one and as no one is going to confirm anything until they are damn well ready to, I intend to believe whatever is likely to make me feel happy right now. 
If I have to feel disappointed at a later date, I'm going to rely on years of experience in things not necessarily going the way I wanted them to predict that I will be able to carry on with my normal life regardless.
Anyway, as I was beginning to feel a little irritable about the whole thing, having got this off my chest I now feel much better!

I'd like an LI who is a mix of both. That doesn't mind the "cuddles" but can still kick major ass. GW strikes me as a guy that is like that.
The fact that there's a serious prospect of there being only three women in the entire party of nine is seriously hindering my ability to empathize with your annoyance.

I'm not bothered by the ratio either. The three women we know of so far are super awesome women. Out of the men we know of so far........no thanks to all of them. No offense meant to anyone who likes any of them though! If Grey Warden guy and Cullen and Jazzy hands man are available, I'm so ready!
