Are you going to play it alone? Or with friends/boyfriends/girlfriends/husbands/wifes etc..
Are you going to play it in one big session (like taking a week off from work/school etc..
Will you be focused mainly on the game or are you also visiting the forums and discuss/share certain events?
1. Mostly alone. My husband has played both games and definitely plans on playing Inquisition, but we have an agreement when it comes to Bioware games - I get dibs! See, I really ONLY play ME and DA games and even then I didn't start either until the year DA2 came out. If I recall correctly my brother got me DAO, ME1 & 2 a couple of monthsbefore DA2 released (which I didn't end up playing until a few months later because I heard mixed things and I was still way too enamored with Origins and Mass Effect to give up the feels for a brand new DA PC!). Up until then I was largely a PC RPG virgin (though I've always been a lovely TT geek!) Anyway! My point is that my husband has waaaay more games he is a fan of/plays on a regular basis... so since DA is my "thing" he is lovely and lets me have first dibs for playtime when it comes out

I'm sure I'll be gushing about the game though and possibly entertaining him with my pathetic squeaking if/when I encounter combat I find difficult and choices that cause me near-physical pain

2. LOL, a 2nd grader (zomg, my oldest will be a 2nd grader this Fall! GAH!), a kindergartener (christ, two in school!!?? WHY DO THEY KEEP GROWING??? *sob*) and an infant won't allow me any kind of straight on binge fest... but the husband is fantastic and I'm sure he'll try to cover for me when and as he can so I can have more game time than usual
3. I am horrible about spoiling myself. I have a hard time with suspense, to be honest, thanks to anxiety issues. I've always been the sort to read the end of books right after reading the first chapter, etc. But that's never ruined my enjoyment of going back and finding out how the end comes to be. Buuuuuut... I REALLY want to try to play DA:I without major spoilers, a gameguide or walkthroughs. For DA I was practically tied to the DA Wiki and for DA2 I used my snazzy gameguide like an atlas, always on hand. I want to, for once, see what it's like just to play through and not metagame or majorly spoil or reload for diff choices, etc. Just to see what that's like.

And, to toss it in, myfirst playthrough will likely be a female human mage or rogue  After that I'm pretty sure I'll want to work my way through the other races at least once!
