Odds of them mentioning a romance first out of a noncompanion seem extremely low. Especially now that we know that all companions are leaders.
 
 

Then he'll have to make quite a good argument as to why I shouldn't execute all of them on the spot.

I agree that it seems he might be a companions more than a NPC.
I'm sure you'll be able to send him off/possibly kill him, if you don't agree with his position.

I agree that it seems he might be a companions more than a NPC.
I'm sure you'll be able to send him off/possibly kill him, if you don't agree with his position.

I dislike doing so to companions, but I'm wondering how he could possibly be hooked in. Perhaps he'll be mutually exclusive with Mustachio or Solas; either that, or he'll be surprisingly non-disruptive for a templar.
