To be fair, telling us he's not Wax Fruit is kinda a spoiler, especially if it isn't a confirmed he's a companion yet. Also, it might just be something that the actual writers do for their own characters. Wouldn't want to ruin someone else's fun, ya?

I was thinking more along the lines of one of the theories we've all talked about way back. Perhaps we meet him and think he's a red templar, and he ends up not being so?
