If I'm honest, I literally needed to know about Cullen's inclusion. I was fully expecting him to just be a crappy little cameo, so I kinda made it my mission to find out for my own sanity... I have terrible impatience when it comes to waiting for things and his inclusion (as pathetic as it sounds) was a big deal to me to the point that I knew it would ruin the excitement of the game for me if he was minor. I needed to know ahead of time so that if he had just been a cameo I'd have enough time to get over the disappointment.

I don't mind knowing about characters and what capacity they're in the game, I don't mind seeing in-game assets and stuff like that. I wouldn't want story spoilers though.

I know someone who was put under NDA for another game, and they hated not being able to speculate with the other fans what with knowing what they knew.

That's why I specifically asked them not to tell me anything about the story or the characters romance/story arcs. I like to speculate about those and be surprised for them.

I'm still just reeling. I mean, companion or not, a LI means we'll really, actually get a chance to know him. I mean, the real him, not just the "This is templar business, stranger!" guy or even the  "Maker watch over you" guy. The real him. We'll get to hear not what "they say" and his dodges about his own opinions, but what HE really thinks. 

 

That deserves another happy dance!!

 

 

I know it's so exciting! Seeing how Varric and Cass look, I can't even begin to imagine how he looks in this new engine! I can't friggen wait

I know how feel; finding out we had to play as humans pretty much did that for me. I lost all excitement regarding the game, and I felt really stupid because of it. How dumb that not being able to play as my preferred race would really dampen my enthusiasm so much, but it did. Then I found out playable races were back, and it was like my heart started soaring again LOL

 

I felt similarly about Cullen, thinking his chances were low if not next to nothing, and looking at the male characters they were releasing, I was once again feeling very, very low. But now, no longer

NDAs can be a pain, yeah. I've only been under NDAs for EverQuest 2 expansion packs (closed betas), but sheesh. It's been a while, so I can't remember if it was actually a part of the NDAs or not, but even so much as admitting that you had been accepted into a closed beta and were under an NDA (to someone that was not in closed beta, obviously) was seriously frowned upon in the community.

FFS...I was hoping for further clarification on Cullen being a companion in her write up, but it looks like they didn't state specifically that Cullen is indeed a companion. The way it was brought up, and the way they are talking about romances has me leaning towards him being one though, even more so than before.
