Also if we go from a Leader standpoint, surely Cullen's more of a leader and Beardface is more of an outcast? If we take the gallows concept art as his backstory, he seems to have left the Wardens. Also, could his model just have been used in another warrior companion's stead as he was already made?

From the leaked survey, it did list Cullen, Cassandra, and a Grey Warden as possible companions. It's possible that he got cut/demoted?

I just had a thought. If Morrigan is pretty much Empress Celene's court Mage or whatever, and Leliana is the Divine's right/left hand then the pair of them have probably come into contract frequently these past 10+ years, since the Empress and the Divine likely meet relatively frequently, lol.

 

I wonder if the pair of them get on any better?

 

 

Probably worse sense Leliana has gotten more devious, and the warden isn't around to put the both of them in a time out.

That's a good point. And if it's the case and he's the grandfatherly inspiration or a mentor type, it'd make sense if he became a faction leader, especially if he left the wardens.

You put my thoughts into words    I was just thinking that if anything grey warden guy seems as more likely companion. Although they had a draft describing Iron bull in that leaked survey. Funny that in one form or another all four warriors appeared in there.

That would be... a little sad and funny? Like, there is a whole thread dedicated to this guy, and if we find out that the warrior seen in-party a long ways back is just some random mook...

But it is a sound theory. I'm wavering on my theory that the Iron Bull is the military commander. I wonder if, instead, he's an enemy hired to kill you by whoever started up the Veil tears? I mean, he's a mercenary.

(P/S: I just can't catch up with how quickly this thread moves - sometimes I don't visit for a week, and it's jumped hundreds of pages. I finally finish playing catch up, go to bed and the next morning, the thread has jumped another 20 pages. It's pretty darn impressive, is what it is.  )

So I've always been kind weary on weather or not he's a companion or not. If he is, this is how we'll meet him.

I don't think that tells us anything about Iron Bull, though. The devs have pointed out that Iron Bull was put in that environment just for the trailer, in the first shot.  I think, if anything, it's associated with the Inquisitor. Or Crestwood.
