Lol nah you didn't offend me, I just wanted to clarify the scene incase I hadn't described it too well.
The lingering look when he catches her could just be kinda ambiguous, so it could be interpreted as either staring her down for trying to steal his money, or him being captured by her beauty depending on what the player wants to read into it. Or perhaps if you do romance him then he'll mention that he was instantly attracted to her from the minute he looked at her, but if you don't romance him then it would just be taken as him staring her down.

an intense love for her that he can't bare the thought of losing her (either through death or to another man), aaaand finally, C) some sort of catalyst moment where he is able to put aside his head mess and allow himself some happiness, rather than restricting and punishing himself, perhaps involving the protagonist nearly getting killed or something.
So my theory is they'll have Cullen, possibly Varric as companions. Don't know, just a feeling.
