Did you guys hear that EA had their lawyers tell these people to take down the concept art and possible Subtitles? Could this mean it's legit?
http://www.cinemable...aked-45878.html

Not necessarily. The two previously-released concept drawings remain at IGN. It's possible that they asked the gaming sites to take down the remainder because they were copyrighted to someone else or had an unverifiable copyright status.

Was legal action ever taken about the ME3 leaked script?

Oooo! So perhaps at the very least those pictures are real. I dunno why the bothered to put all that into a survey if they wanted to keep it secret, bit of a dumb move lol.

Lol. All I really care about is if the concept art is real. The Inquisition and blah blah, I can wait for official news on that.

Or it's just that they don't want anyone to pretend it's real? I really do not put much faith in that survey because of various reasons (all of them already mentioned) It's becoming a bit of a witch hunt at the moment.

All I really care about is if Cullen will be a companion/LI.

My interests lie in the exact opposite direction. I couldn't care less about the concept art, but if I'm expected to start the game with a pre-determined religious or political affiliation, I'm not going to buy it no matter *who* they offer as a companion. Even if they make Galyan a companion and LI.

Granted, I thought the proposed companions were poorly-conceived and rather juvenile (Ale-swilling "qunari"? Really? Feisty elf chick? Is that the best you can do?), but if there really are 10 to choose from, there's a possibility that 4 might not suck.

There's no getting around a loaded backstory, though. The Inquisition railroad won't be stopping at my house.

About the only thing that would make it *remotely* palatable is if we started the game as a free agent and got roped into it, but even then, I'm afraid that my faith in BioWare would be damaged beyond the point of mending.

At least fiance would be happy. He would *love* for me to stop playing video games.

So given all the leak excitement, here's another question.

I've seen a lot of concern about spoilers for DA3. Anyone here abstaining and worried about that? If so, what are your strategies?

See i don't want to know about a game before i play.  It just spoils it for me.  I buy a guide book, read about my companions/LI so i know a bit about them and can get a feel for what to expect.  My first play thru is just me getting a feel for the game so that my second play thru i can make better decisions on how i want it to turn out.  after that, i play different ways to see what all changes with different decisions.
I just want to know if Cullen is in DA3, and when its comming out.  Everything else i can wait.  Image IPB

You know I'm a bit torn about spoilers, too. I wish I had spoiled myself more about my city elf Alistair ending... So I totally spoiled my romances in DA2, thankfully. But I'm also SO glad I didn't know about the Chantry. I even heard the words "jenga" but didn't get it.

I'll probably try my best to avoid the big spoilers...

Edit for clarity...

The only thing I'll spoil for myself is who the companions will be, other than that I'm going to avoid anything else. I will always remember how cool it was going through DA:O and not knowing what was going to happen. For DA2, I spoiled it, and it really made the game not so fun for me, I'm all about surpises which I had ruined for myself.

So given that some of us want to avoid big story spoilers, how do you do that? Avoid BSN altogether? Stick just to the new Cullen thread and try to only discuss him? Stick cotton in your ears (eyes)?

I wasn't a forumite prior to DA2, so I don't really know how 'bad' it will be around here.

I played DA2 without knowing what would happen (besides the demo) and it was do confusing lol. I actually remember thinking "wow this game is really long and nothings happened yet", then Anders blew up the Chantry and we had to fight Orsino/Meredith and I was like "Ah! Now things are starting to get interesting!" ... and then it ended and I was like wtf?! It took a lot of playthroughs for me to appreciate the storyline lol.

Hmm, just read that article... Wouldn't listing that EA lawyers told you to take down pics sorta obviate the need to take them down,,,? Sounds a bit fishy to me. Plus, if a bigger site like IGN hasn't been told the same....

If the ME3 forum is anything to go by then it's gonna get bad if we get a lot of spoilers. I'm not sure when the DA team themselves start giving us proper official spoilers (if they even do that?) But I suspect we won't even be safe in the Cullen thread. Hopefully we'll only need to go into lockdown and avoid the forum for a week or two prior to its release.

Yeah, I think if big sites like ING and The Penny Arcade start taking down pictures etc then we can safely assume that there is some truth in those leaks. Until then I'm inclined to take things with a heavy dose of salt.

I read the leaked ME3 script, cause well, I'm not as emotionally invested in Mass Effect than I am Dragon Age. Even though I was laughing my butt off about the dark ritual and while trying to convince Alistair to do it. A world with a God baby is more interesting than a world without it!

...But anyways, if a script leaked (god forbid Bioware, get better security or somethin'?) for DAIII, I'd be tempted but probably avoid it. I might do what I did with ME3 but spoil myself on one romance of a character I'm not planning on romancing and/or not interested in to see if I'll get an idea of the atmosphere of it.

It wouldn't surprise me if the DA3 script got leaked, it's not like they've done the best job of keeping it a secret so far.

Does anyone remember what was leaked in DA2? I keep hearing stuff about a demo leak that gave away DA2's plot.

In the DA2 demo , you could use the console just like in DA2 main game.
So you could basically see every flag for romance/act/main quest/gift etc....
I played with Anders in the demo ...his model was in there....there were other stuff like Meredith model /even the model with crazy red eyes....

There were no full script like Me3 ...or i haven't heard about it at the time.

Hey all!

Uh, yeah, DA3 will prolly get leaked. Files gutted and exposed. They did it with ME3. Nowhere was safe. I thought I was being safe. There were a few things I wanted to know, but basic stuff. Who was romanceable? That kinda thing.

And I would run head long into a spoiler. I thought no big deal, but there were parts I wish I hadn't known about when playing ME3. The impact of it would have been greater.

So, this time, I'm staying well away from spoilers. Well, you know, after I get a general idea what the story is about. A blurb. Something...

If you just stick in a single character thread or two, you should be ok. Might get an ass that goes around thread-to-thread posting a bunch of spoilers or an ecstatic fan who doesn't know any better. And maybe some angst inbewteeen thread members.

Leave home base?

Prepare for chaos. If there's one thing I learned over the release of 3 games and many DLC pieces, is that these forums likes to erupt and whine oh my god whine about anything and everything conceivable.

We can either retreat to the Cullen group that most of us have already joined, or make a new group for people that don't want spoilers to hang out in?

The thing that annoys me about this leak, is that even if it is real people are presuming that everything that appears in the survey is gospel. I mean, just because it asks if we want multiplayer doesn't mean it will actually be implemented into the game. Just because we have a bunch of concept art (most of which are human) doesn't mean all those characters will end up as companion material, some may not even appear in the game at all (like the female Kossith/Qunari from the DA2 concept art.)

I can understand people being worried that certain things will or won't happen in DA3, but none of it can be taken as official until Bioware confirm it or we see it happening in-game. I think a lot of people are getting themselves worked up and angry about something that could easily turn out to be fake.

I know what you mean. There are already fights and arguements about a game that hasn't been officially annouced yet. If it does turn out to be fake, they're going to feel rather silly getting on it like ravenous beasts.

Yeah, I saw one thread entitled: "DA3 sounds terrible" and then it goes into a rant about how there will be no Grey Wardens or Blight, that multiplayer is bad, the new storyline sucks and that Bioware are dead to them.

It's ridiculous. What's wrong with some people on this site? Why even bother being apart of it if they feel so strongly that Bioware are the devil? I can see why DG 'n' co get so pissed off and avoid the forums.

Agree. It's one thing to speculate, as we've done our fair share of here with the two seconds of screen time given poor Cullen :P, but some circles seem downright militant about some of it, pro and con.

Despite all that, you all know my fascination with the darker side of the Seekers and their transformation from the Inquisition, so parts of this supposed leak were almost engineered to push my lore buttons...  I keep chuckling every time I see wiki text I wrote bandied about. So definitely hard to stop paying attention.
