No reason to point fingers or throw ourselves on our swords. This is just our wake up call to be more cautious there.

It's more a 'Maker's holy genitals why do you do this, temper mine? Why? Can you not?' sword.

LOL Or to paraphrase another Morrigan saying, "Forumites are always ready to believe two things about a Cullenite: 1. That the Cullenite is a brainless female fangirl; and 2. She is a Cullen zealot, blind to his character flaws and set upon proselytizing his Wonder to the world."

I think it was mostly my fault. Feel free to shake your fist and cuss at me.

I think it's settled down and is all good now, though?? ;u;

I just finished reading through that whole mess, and I would not agree that it was your fault.  I could back that up with some points from the argument, but I think I'll just leave it that.  And it does seem to have mellowed out over there now, so if anyone is so inclined it's probably safe to go back in the water.... This is why I mainly lurk on the main forums, and only post when I feel like it (which is rarely). Good thing this thread is still here.

I just jumped on a few minutes ago so I haven't had the chance to look at the other thread yet. To be honest, I think we all were expecting something like this to happen eventually. I've gotten into debates on the forums as well, and there comes a point where I just have to tell myself to walk away before it gets really ugly. A habit I developed from the old usenet days when there was absolutely no one to moderate anything.

Have a Cullen ^_^ :

Sad to hear that the new thread was not a fun place to be today :[ And I agree that we have probably felt more comfortable on the main forum than we should be. It's just I got so used to being able to talk freely in here that I adopted a similar attitude in there and I shouldn't. All this wonderful info and changes apparently left me lightheaded. Thank the maker that we still have our oasis in here, whilst there we'll always be more scrutinized, especially when the thread is moving crazy fast like yesterday. Anyway, I don't know if I mentioned that enough times already but I really think you are a special and lovely bunch and I absolutely love you all and our little corner in here. #gettingsoppyfornoreason

So true. You really have a gift to hit the spot with your words :]

*Sigh* I had this big long post.. and then my damned PS3 froze. Damn yous!!!! *Shakes fist*

Anyway.. That whole situation was mild in comparison to other comments I've seen in the past.. didn't make it any less irritating to sift thru.

I can handle opposing view points... but don't drag the fans into it. Saw alot of self-righteous and blind posting, didn't help that most of the posters had their own set of cronies to back them up with whatever they were saying. Felt like we were being ganged up on for a brief moment there.

And alot of words being put in our mouths. We've said plenty of times that all discussion about -Cullen- is welcome, but they kept up with thinking we think he has no faults, and accusing -us- of ganging up on -them-! Of all things..

Could definitely tell which ones have never entered this thread if they're still going by the pre-Gaider defending us mentality.

It's disappointing, really. The thread vibe does feel off now, it's lost the fun/positive vibe it had yesterday. To be honest, since we've had to start watching ourselves more, even the vibe of -this- thread feels a little off to me.

I'll be glad when more time has passed and the hype dies down and people move on. Probably will go back to lurking for a bit, at least in the more public thread.

There wasn't really any flat out trolling. But it was still annoying. And people calmed down. Can't really say I'd ignore any of the posters, I've liked things they've said in -other- threads. And they eventually started sounding more reasonable towards the end before the matter was dropped.

I think in a nutshell, it was turning into a mage/templar debate. Like we need more of -those-.

I know,some times I get a pretty negative vibe as well...That's when I start telling jokes,people like jokes right?Even if they're bad,or maybe not...

Truth be told It's kinda sad that we can express ourselves more freely,I mean it's a forum, what's the point of a forum if you can't discuss about something you like and share your enthusiasm with others,I hate it when it happens because negativity always makes me feel uncomfortable, despite having good intentions and wanting to share my enthusiasm with others.
