Awesome comic Galagraphia  I sure would not mind some Monthy Python puns in there.

On a totally different note: I have been watching dawn of the seeker yesterday. Beside the glaring lore mistakes (male dragons? templars who forgot how to templar? chantry = direct copy of catholic church) and some other facepalm-thingies, I was wondering how much of it is actual lore? And I totally did not get why Kirkwall was mentioned in there. The only reason I can come up with is because of the Gallows... Oh well, would not mind to see Galyan hanging around somewhere in Orlais, even if just as spacefilling wandering npc :)

I still haven't watched this yet. In fact, I think it still has the overwrap on it.

Whilst waiting for october I've picked up ME again. Totally proud of myself: finally managed to get past Noveria... I hate the place, with the jumping bugs... I seriously don't mind spiders, but those things give me the shivers. Well, to be honest I am just running through the missions in a 'die pixels, so I can talk to Kaidan again!' way  Had the 'Liara or Kaidan' talk yesterday. So cute, lol. But it is quite annoying me that you can hardly talk to your crew outside of the normandy... I hope they won't totally go this route with DA:I? I recall there was some discussion about that some time ago? I mean, I totally want to chat Cullens ears off... Making out in front of the rest DA:O style would be pure win though.

Thank you!

And the events on the DotS are mentioned on the new Dragon Age site, so it's pretty canon, I guess.

I need to watch it again. All I remember is that Cass was jumping and screaming a lot, and that she didn't protect her balls femoral artery, which caused much discomfort, and nearly a death. :) Overall it was difficult to watch, because most of the time I was facepalming. Galyan was cute, though, and the elven kid too :)

I have the impression that people who write these things, like the movie, or DA Legends, they are not very big experts on the lore, because some things in these stories make no sense. Like an army of golems and ogres. I suppose major events, like the dragon attack, are canon, but small ones... well, maybe it's better not to pay them much attention?

Ugh yeah, don't get me started about the 'armor'... at least it was not bikini mail (close enough though). Been facepalming and cringing often enough... Tbh I seriously don't get why these stories don't get a bit of a proofread from the devs, as the lore is crumbled to pieces (and therefore causing lots of confusion). I mean: I felt it was required to know the DA lore in order to understand what the story was about... but than you are facepalming half of the time because of all the mistakes.

But I totally agree that Galyen and the kid were cute. I will just headcanon that the kid can mindcontrol the dragons because she drank their blood, as dragons are not 'animals'.

And now I want to push Cas off a cliff, because she has experience with that >.>

According to MLaw in the Making of video, everything there is canon (and it seems they may have had to do some extreme tapdancing in the timeline to make it so; see link below). Also, the movie takes place in 9:22 and the events in Kirkwall referenced are Meredith's ousting of Perrin Threnhold.

You might really enjoy it! I was.... I don't know I came a away feeling negative then that just kinda turned into meh lol. I think it was the cheesy voice acting maybe? No offense to anyone who worked on it though! It's just so hard for me to deal with that sort of thing after years of playing Japanese games with awful voice acting! I think I reached my limit if tolerance in my late teens :D but! It is worth watching though...just don't feel any pressure Bev ;)

Thanks for the clarification!  :) Just quite surprised that 'everything' is considered to be canon, as some things are quite contradicting with other lore... ah well :)

yeaaah, I know. My guess is that it's canon... but merely has the same continuity errors as all the other DA properties (perhaps a few extra since it was made by an outside company). For ex... my guess is that originally it was supposed to take place after DA2 (with the Kirkwall ref, and the book hand off at the end)... and they changed that post facto, given the mistake with Divine Justinia vs. Beatrix.

(and you're welcome! :))

FWIW, I actually really enjoyed it. Sure, it has flaws, but I loved how it added to the DA world that I love (and I liked the characters, and the insight into the Chantry and the Seekers, and the characters... :D ). Opinions are all over the board, tho, so YMMV.

Awww, I really like Galyan's voice.  I just really liked him as a character. I really hope he pops up in DAI as an NPC (I kind of think of him being Cassandra's friend).

If you want bad voice acting (well apart from the pawns), then play Dragon's Dogma.  I sometimes put on the Japanese voice acting, just because it sounds so much better!

Galyan for DA:I! :wizard: But yeah, it would indeed make more sense if DotS would have taken place after DA:2. Got to check out all the Cullenparty-goodies when I get back home.

Like we had any doubts that Greg Ellis is the best. That stuttering was so cute   Funny how a bunch of pixels becomes a memorable person thanks to one little detail.

Ok, #Cullenparty links.

The first one.

The second one.

I think there was another one, but I can't find it.

Aww, after forum updated, out thread lost some in the number of pages.

But I expect we will start updating again when DAI comes out, and people will come here to avoid spoilers :) I know I will. There's no way I can get the game in October.

And a sad art:

Spoiler

A fun art:

I think there's a curse on me: I'm trying to draw a decent comic, but every panel looks dirtier than the previous one

I'm curious about it, but I probably won't get it myself. The only thing keeping me from preordering right now is I'm not sure where I'd want it delivered.

I'm waiting. I'll have to order DAI from US or UK anyway, so I'll probably wait for the art book, the Last Flight, and the CE, to get them in one bundle.

Thank you. I think my Inquisition will be running a lot. I couldn't handle the death of my Frost in Skyrim. I was happy when I got the undead horse. What's dead can never die!
