Oh btw, there has been some more small progress with my costume
OMG, that looks amazing!
And thanks for the well-wishes!

The Bog Unicorn looks like an undead horse with a sword shoved into its jaw. Eh, I'll pass using it on my first playthrough.
Red Hart Halla or the Inquistion Armored Mount it is then.

LOL, glad I am not the only one who had to look twice at the 'unicorn'
The horse and halla look cool though.
Regarding the Cullen romance: I'd actually hope we can make him do the first move. I thought that was sooo cute with Alistair. And well, playing ME the last few days, and Kaidan is awesomely cute too. Something like that would make me very happy... I don't want to be the one who has to step to every single LI with some old pickup line... Saying that: a friendly way to turn down people who make advances but you are not interested in would be a big plus too.
The other thread goes pretty off topic, too.
I'd say the other thread is almost always off topic.
Something I think we need to work on.
Wait are these real?? Or CudaThedas specials?

It gets off topic and also way too goofy for me. I feel like a crotchety old man with a pitch fork, but the endless series of gifs and penis jokes is just too much for me sometimes!

My husband always says we'll be on our porch in rocking chairs carrying shotguns and yelling at all the "whippersnappers with their blasted iPods and loud voices, dagnabbit". By the time we're 30. Which isn't that far away. Something to look forward to, I guess.
Heheh.. The penis jokes I don't mind. The gifs though, the videos.. Those freeze my PS3 and steal the battery life on my phone. I can re-charge my phone, but I get pretty damned annoyed when I have to hard reset my console.

Okay, I usually love undead things. But it's different when there's a zombie -person- with a sword stuck in 'em versus an animal. I don't like it. It'd be different if it was just an undead horse. But the "unicorn" aspect becomes a dark joke because it's only a unicorn because a sword's been shoved thru it's chin.
I'd prefer it like those fantastical horses in Red Dead Nightmare. All the horses of the apocalypse.. they were darkly themed, but it worked better.
Ehhhh...
I'm a little disappointed that the bog 'unicorn' looks like any old undead horse. I was kind of hoping Bioware would keep those shenanigans out of Dragon Age. Unless, it's, like, a horse that was killed in battle and possessed by a fade spirit. That would make sense, but even then, that doesn't really make me want it. It kind of makes me uncomfortable, actually. People? I don't give a damn. Animals, though...
Mmmmph...
I love the Halla and the horse! And, unless they've completely changed the design, I like how we now know what Hallas look like before their antlers have been carved by the Dalish.
Man, do I hope they're available with the uber edition too. *needs sexy mounts, this is very important*
...Unless Bioware kills our mount, then I will be sad as hell. ![]()

You know, this part makes Stinky look like a good option
After all, my favourite horse in Skyrim is a creepy undead horse, just because it can't die.
But... I'm not sure how people will react to Her Reverence showing in public on a stinking undead abomination. I think Cullen will freak out too. It may be a bit immersion breaking. To put it lightly. Maybe we can change our mounts? Like, I want to ride into Val Royeaux on a pretty white horse, conquer the Dales on a halla, and impale some Red Templars on Stinky's "horn" ![]()

I will now have to do a ridiculous playthrough where I only ever use Stinky. I might not be personally fond of the thing, but it turning up in cutscenes and such could be potentially hilarious.
@ellisgreg @bioware @dragonage Ok, what do I require? My kids have @NintendoAmerica Wi U's & an @Xbox 360. Does the game play on either system? Help!
OMG, Greg Ellis is going to try Dragon Age! Of course, he said the same thing 2 years ago or so, and then forgot, lol
But maybe he will actually do it this time.
And then his kids will be like 'look daddy, that's you!' (ok, I have no idea how old his kids are...)
I totally hope that the goodies will also be included in the collectors edition, otherwise I'll go for the deluxe edition too. But to be honest... I won't mind if they exclude stinky XD Hmm.... but it might indeed be fun to have a playthrough with a weird undead mount for the lols. Inq: 'No one expects the...!' Cullen: 'Ehm, yes they do.... they can smell you, or actually your ehm... mount, from miles away.'

I think his oldest is 10 or something, he posts their photos sometimes.

I kind of hope Stinky doesn't really stinks, maybe he's a mummy horse?
So I'm re-reading Asunder, because I forgot what it was about, and my favourite part so far is that is describes what Knight-Captains do, and it looks like they basically run the tower, taking care of "unimportant" everyday stuff, like the duty rosters, inspections, occasionally kicking a*ses and investigating suspicious mage activities. Looks like Evangeline knows about everything in the tower, except secret mage meetings, because they are secret. ![]()
I suppose Cullen was doing the same thing in Kirkwall, except it looks like he had less awareness of what was going on in the Gallows than Evangeline about the White Spire. Maybe it's because both mages and templars in Kirkwall were more paranoid abd secretive, and Cullen was spoiled by high-school-ish Kinloch Hold, and he wasn't well prepared to serve in a place where so many things are not what they appear on the surface?
I haven't read Asunder yet, but I guess that it is quite possible that Cullen was not totally aware of what was happening or he just did not feel like revealing it to a third party whilst he was still investigating. I mean: our police officers would also not give insight when they get signs of corruption within their own ranks (and even worse: your superior approves of it). The templars already were dealing with a recline in status, making this public would create a huge backlash.

You are right. I forgot that we know very little about what was really going on in the Gallows. And Cullen already expressed his concern to Meredith that the most locals don't trust their order, and don't cooperate with templars when they are looking for apostates. Cullen also wanted to win the hearts of local people to fix that, if I remember right. So if he was investigating something, he would indeed avoid sharing anything about it with an outsider, because it would make citizens mistrust the templars even more.
There's also the fact that Cullen was an 'outsider' and Kirkwall doesn't seem too fond of Fereldens anyway. So it's also possible that those who knew what was going on (and didn't agree with it, of course) didn't go to him to talk about their concerns just because 'ew, one of those Ferelden dogs'. Doesn't that one letter, with Ser Alrik threatening the young Templar, say he tried to go straight to Meredith? So obviously he didn't even think to talk to Cullen.

Yes, that's a good explanation. Also, let's not forget that when Hawke first meets Cullen, Cullen is new in Kirkwall, and he probably has just been promoted, and maybe Wilmod's case was his very first task! So the templar in the letter was trying to talk with Meredith before Cullen's promotion. And also I bet some templars envied Cullen, because he's a dog-lord who's making an impressive career, and everybody hates those guys, so they didn't trust him. While mages heard that Cullen survived the Circle rebellion in Ferelden, and he hates all the mages now (it wasn't really true, but who would risk to find the truth?), so they didn't trust him too. Now that I think about it, looks like Cullen had a lot of headache there.
Top! Epic puppy-faced Cullen from Darkspawn Chronicles. I hated that fight! ![]()

Right, right!
There's also the fact he was promoted very, very quickly and just because Meredith saw 'they thought the same way' and she could use him. Which would also give him 'the favourite' stigma, and nobody likes a 'suck up'.
Ah, poor Cullen! Nobody loves him! Again! ![]()
GIF
Dammit, I really feel bad for him now!
And this can explain why he was defending Meredith for so long. Because he felt like she was the only person in Kirkwall who appreciated him, and he didn't want to be ungrateful? Wow, turning on her in the end must have been really hard for him.
