I love your armor!

It shines like all armor should! But DAO and DAII, I think, didn't support the metal reflections, and that's why all armor looked plastic. When I saw reflections on Cassandra's sword in DAI trailer, I was soooo happy, because FINALLY!!!

 

Also, yesterday Greg Ellis recorded more lines for Cullen, and he said he had an interview, and it was filmed, and maybe we will see it tomorrow! Lady Insanity collected his tweets here.

My armor won't be all shiney either, but it is still metal (as it well, actually is supposed to me metal ingame, not latex or plastic....) Although I still don't really get why metal is supposed to help with protection against mages... but that is another story XD

 

By the way, I had a fitting today, as the armor is far finished (just need bracers, gauntlets, elbow protection and... helmet! For which fittings have also been done today). Now it is just a matter of finishing and polishing. Got totally stand-in robes, sash and the blacksmiths own sword by the way... but it surely gives a good idea of what it is going to look like

Whoah, I dreamt last night that he was at gamescom and I totally fangirled in my dream XD Would also totally fangirl if it would happen for real...

Buh,it is not like I have cosplay skills... I have never cosplayed at all! And there is not much I have done to create this costume... I think I have dyed the sash (the real one, not on the picture)... So yeah, that is what actual cosplayers have and I don't: the skills and love to actually create the costume themselves. And don't get me wrong: it is totally fine if people wear latex or plastic costumes: it still looks great! It just does not work for me personally, which is why I wanted a steel one. But than again: I do not have a cosplay mindset.

And because I can't do anything like that myself. I can sew a dress, that the ceiling of my skills So I could only cosplay a mage Maybe I will in about 2 or 3 years, when I pay off my debts For now I have a mini-Sera who will cosplay Sera

That would be so cute, Galaphia I can't even sew a dress.... hammocks for the rats is my ceiling, and that is because they don't complain if it is not straight/wonky.

And I've been saving up for a few years in order to pull this off. And still wanting it that much, so I was like... it's bloody expensive, but hey, it's also totally awesome!

You lot were the first I shared it with. I was expecting mixed reactions from my friends, so when I shared the latest pic on facebook the other week, I was blown away with all the positive feedback. Ok, I shared it only with fellow roleplayers/gamers...

I'm feeling a bit nostalgic today. I remember last year this time. We where still unsure what art style the game would be. Not many believed they go all the way with Frostbite. We knew next to nuffink. We STILL thought it would be a Sept 2013 release. I went back and found our E3 reactions.

@Galagraphia - your pictures of Cullen look so cute!  The helmet suits him!  Although I do hope we see some more images of him without it and showing him in a bit of action (like Leliana in the trailer). And it is amusing to see him rubbing the back of his neck like he's a bit anxious about what the Inquisitor is doing!

Lol, those drawings are genious Gala! I thought his lion helmet was a bit... special. Sorry helmet, you are very cool, but I prefer to be able to see Cullens face

 

Glad to be back in here. I wandered off a bit to rant about the CE not being available to my country (I want those goodies so bad ), but it became a bit scary out there...

 

And tiny bit of an update regarding my armor: the chestpiece is now fitting and has to be finished, last week I did some fitting for the gauntlets, wrist protection and helmet... but no pics of that yet, sorry! Now I just need to start kicking those who would make the robe and shield into action

First of all, check out this interview! GamerMD asked Lola's question about Cullen's romance, and was told, that it's really good, and has a kiss scene

Oh, I totally want to see the whole comic Gala! I love your drawing skills (and am totally jealous of them ^^)

 

I (or actually, we) are still struggling with the black belt-thingy. I asked some devs about it, but apart that is made of fabric (and not of leather) it is not really solving the puzzle for me. How the heck does it fit on the priest/templar body? I doubt it goes all woven like around the whole waist... And I am dealing with a perfectionist as tailor... and I don't have answers, argh!

@Galagraphia - loving the doodles.  I saw the GamerMD video and I have to say what Liz Lehtonen said left me feeling a little excited!  I don't mind Cullen looking hotter.  But I do want him to look a little weary around the edges, reflecting what he's been through and his age (I am guessing he will be in his mid 30s by then).  Plus the dark circles!  I can't wait to get my hands on the game.  I shall have to log onto deviantArt (if I can remember my password) so I can check your comic out.

Thanks! I totally learnt how to draw while making that comic. It's obvious if you read it from chapter 1 to chapter 4  (first pages suck!). So, practice does wonders, lol.

Maybe you will find these tutorials useful for your cosplay? At least the tailoring part. It shows how to make the black belt.

I've already started the countdown.  I have seen so many videos that I am just itching to get my hands on the game!  I can't wait!
