I kinda figure that he doesn't allow himself to be distracted from his job, perhaps considering things like a relationship, time off, etc as a temptation that could make his resolve waver. I kinda feel like he worries that if he drops his guard for 5 minutes them something bad could happen.

Given he keeps running into blood mages and abominations, it does not seem like this attitude is working. So he should just drop his guard (and his armor ).

Haha! I like the way you think!

Oh i think i'm started to get a cullen fever ,too.
I went to Youtube watching Cullen , thinking yeah Lolalei was onto something, he does look a bit like James Marsters.
He's hot , and that voice...And he's damn manly with that sword.

Three days ago , the last thing i was thinking about is Cullen....
I guess it's a contagious thing.

Whoa I never thought about him looking a bit like James Marsters before. Now I'm always going to think of him when I think of Cullen. Which is definitely not a bad thing. :P

I'm kind of similar. I always liked Cullen since the first time I saw him in the Circle (I wanted to recruit him when he was trapped and was disappointed that there wasn't the option) but I wasn't thinking about him too much as of late. And then the Greg Ellis tweet and now it's like oh my god Cullen!

Carine: Read my comparison between Cullen and Spike and the way in which their stories are similar:

Lemme know what you think.

If he is a LI, it will be so cool to tell everyone "yeah, I was a Cullen lover since the very, VERY beginning."

It'll be interesting to see if any Cullen haters will change their minds if he does become a companion/LI.

I found your comparisons to be so very entertaining! I never watched Buffy though. For some reason I want to punch Gellar. She irritates me. LOL

Totally unrelated: I just sat through a Godzilla movie marathon with my son today and think I may be going mad. I love Godzilla movies, but I have a 2 movie at a time limit. PTSD - I think Cullen and I need to have buddy time. lol

Everyone has been getting me all Cullen-fever so now I'm replaying DA2 again and just keep talking to him over and over! I nearly have his lines memerized, lol.

Wow. That's really well written and I can see the parallels and it definitely doesn't seem far-fetched at all, especially considering Gaider taking inspiration from other characters from BtVS.

I could actually see the end part happening as well a la Spike -- like him reconciling his behavior with mages in the beginning with lots of angst as Spike reconciles his behavior as a demon before Buffy throughout the show -- if he is indeed a companion in DA3.

That makes me really excited though. I am crossing my fingers that Cullen is a companion. And yeah, their hairstyles are eerily similar.

The only sad part is that once he's a companion in DA3, he probably won't be back as a companion again.... given they let him live through the mess.

I don't mind that at all. I'd like to romance him as the new protagonist and for them to stay together in the same way that my Warden went off with Alistair and My Hawke went off with Anders. Most of all I guess I just want to see him get a happy ending.

Oh wow!!!  i didn't know that about Spike, but my hubby and i both agree that Cullen looks  like him and the stories are very similar.  Can't wait to see how his character developes next game.  And i can't wait to romance the pants off of him!  Posted Image

Same. I'm glad that it's this way, because his story arc will be complete if he's a companion in this game. And who knows how many more Dragon Age games there are going to be. And if  he's not in this game, then he's probably not going to be a companion ever :/

Good points... except that I think if he misses the companion boat in this one he can still get a ticket for the next cruise. There may still be some story arc to cover so my hopes shall over come the evil.

Maybe, but who knows how old he'll be, or if it'll be anywhere that Cullen would be. Plus if he's a companion in anything after DA3 then it might not be in a romance role, so he'll likely end up alone, cos I doubt they'd bother giving him a wife or anything.

Yeah that's true. I think it's best if he's in this game. Also I really don't want to wait any longer to have a shot at romancing him. I'm so impatient. :P

And LolaLei, because you brought up Spike I am now rewatching Buffy. Haha.

Hush now. I will shag him in a box.... I will shag him with a fox. Here or there or anywhere. If DA3 blows him off we shall start our own campaign to get him a piece of A and if none of you will step up then I will take on this burden myself. LOL

Yeah buffy!

Did anyone read the comics about Buffy after season 7?
I did but i don't really like them.
The writing is a bit ...hum....well i never though Angel and Buffy could make love so hard that they would litteraly rock the universe and create another planet.
