Same here. I had been playing Skyrim I love it but, I was missing the banter frindships you make. Making it personal. So I decided to play DAO i love it but. as you said I was used to running around jumping off of things then I went to ooopppps can't do that I wanted to jump. LOL. I think thats there plan for DA3 just my theory.

Oh you're so right meanieweenie ,those things blocking path , sometimes it's just a small bump ....
Never played skyrim , just wow ....and when you're used to go where you like , DA is frustrating.

I 'm not sure about a full open world , i played Morrowind long time ago and hated it.I got lost so many time in the middle of nowhere , with nothing to do , nothing interesting on the horizon , i just give up.

But bigger map where you can go where you want and more interactivity would be great.
A few houses open , with pnj to talk to etc...things to steal ...i don't know.
Bioware have a hard time making the world seems alive.

In Skyrim you have followers it was fun but not very personal. Bioware games make it personal. I still say DAO was the best rpg Ive ever played. I've played alot.

That's the thing that pulls me away from Skyrim. I like character-oriented games, and TES games just... aren't that.

DA:O and DA2 both hold more interest for me because I like character- and story-driven games. I like getting to know characters rather than the world.

Skyrim is the game I want to play when I just want to relax, explore and do a few quests.

Its a beautiful game but I just don't take it seriously like I do with Bioware games.

I liked DA:2 but in my heart I have always felt it to be too rushed and it shows.

Skyrim 8.5/10
Dragon Age Origins: 9/10
Dragon Age 2 7.5/10

I didn't like Skyrim that much way to much walking around just to have to go right back from where you came from...

Skyrims low points are Dragon Age strong points and visa versa.Ultimate Dragon Age3 would be open world with a bigger map rich story with different choices and outcomes Nice sized party with which whom you get to know and become friends with or not. A epic LI story.Oh and a place for all to stay like a camp but we've moved up from that give us a keep of sorts. My wish list.

I'd basically just like more locations in DA3, not necessarily an open world. And a long campaign. DA:O takes me forever to complete, which is good (although tiresome in certain areas, aka the Fade and Orzammar). Good party banter and companions are a must though. If I have good companions, I will definitely like the game.

I said it once before... if Skyrim and DA had a baby, I'd be one happy gal. It would be the ultimate combo for me.

Exactly!!!   I'd like open world feel of Skyrim and the Personal touch of Dragon Age.  Mix in alittle Dark Brotherhood/Theives Guild type missions (b/c i loved those) and it would be amazing!!!

I am so glad I'm on PC so I can use the Skip the Fade mod. I played through the Fade once and hated it. Never played through it again. haha

Aren't those sort of mutually incompatible, vast settings and personal touches? Not completely, but they somewhat contradict each other.

I like this thread its more posetive convo, not like some of the other threads where the haters are, So much negativity on a game which we don't know much about. I feel for the Devs they have a thankless job. Well I myself will thank them for their hard work.

They could make it work.  And it wouldn't be hard either.  You have a LI in Skyrim, but there is no personal touches there. There's no courting, no romance nothing to make you feel anything for your spouse.  Same thing for your companion who travels with you.  There is no interacting with them, getting to know them.   Its just "follow me, carry my stuff".  I want to know about my companions/LI, i want banter between my companions, i want their opinions.  Basically DA:O style with your companions with Skyrim's open world.

If they contradict each other;  well i said i want it, doesn't mean its going to happen. Posted Image

derkeethus had a knack for getting lost!...

That's all I ever learned about my khajiit's man. That and the occasional bow and arrow trick shots he'd pull off.

well, if I was stranded on and island was given a choice between Dragon Age and Skyrim... Skyrim would get mighty lonely after a little while.
At least I could go insane while talking back to Alistair.

I think they can pull it off we maybe waiting awhile but it would be worth it. Look at technology they've got the tools and the creative minds.

LOL!!!  awsome!   and i totally agree.  I can play DA over and over, and not get bored with it.  Skyrim is alot of work, and i do not want to start all over again anytime soon.  *im only part way done with it b/c i needed a break*
I still giggle everytime i  romance Alistair.  Posted Image

We definately need another deep game like that again. with the friends and banter a deep LI that you really get to know that puts a smile on your face. Allistair was so well done I dont think any will compare.
