Yeah, makes you wonder what happens to the more influencial Templars that refuse to work with the rebellion Templars. There's no way they would just exile those of influence incase they eventually posed a threat. Under that theory, if Cullen refuses to work with them then I could imagine him being left in a dungeon to rot or hunted down to prevent him causing trouble since he's an experienced, high ranking member of the Order.

I think he's more sympathetic to their plight now, or at least more so than he was at the beginning of DA2. I think he will always be wary of them though. I don't see him standing for the needless slaughter of innocent mages though, especially as the rebel Templars are more than likely going to end up using unorthodox and immoral methods to do so.

In a previous post I had said I thought he did a 180 from DAO to the end of DA2 on his opinion of mages. Hawk and Merridith  opened his eyes. Oh ya humanity thats what you call it .
