I don't think they say. Seekers are apparently chosen from among the best of the best templars (and elsewhere of course), so I imagine her being a hotshot templar and getting conscripted and trained as a Seeker. She was still in training with Byron in DotS, so it would make sense that she's still young. Hmm... Warden age? early twenties? So, yeah, she'd be late thirties, early forties in 9:40? Not so old... but of course, with that complexion... damn!LolaLei wrote...
Wait... How old was Cassandra supposed to be in DotS? Old enough to be a Seeker... She must be in her 40's surely?
OH plus, DG implies that she is not leader of the Seekers, and her "right hand" title is only honorary.

I guess obviously Greg Ellis didnt know who he was voicing when he went into the studio to record, but surely if he was going in to do a companion part then he would have been required to know about it in order to keep himself free for more recording. Or maybe he went in to record Cullen's companion lines, found out on the day that it was a full companion slot, realised he couldn't commit to all the sessions after making that tweet, so was then relegated to minor NPC's.
OH, don't go there!

Cullen and Anders were both written by Jennifer Brandes Hepler in DA2.

Ha! The writer that I think might have done Cullen's script/story (if he's a companion/LI), didn't like Anders because he annoyed her, so she killed him. I guess we can safely assume that Cullen won't be an irritating sod, motivated solely by the Templars plight if he's a companion lol!
Which one are you talking about?

Do you suppose maybe Cassandra isn't going to be a companion after all? Maybe she'll be a mature mentor figure instead? Perhaps those concept armor were just used as examples do that it wouldn't spoil the surprise of the real companions?
I could see the Seeker companion being someone other than Cassandra... altho, the concept art did look an awful lot like her... You know, she has always seemed a bit farfetched as a companion if she's that senior. But, if she's not a leader of the Seekers, whichever title that might connote, it's perhaps less farfetched.
Now I have no idea what to think...

For DA3 (I could be wrong, but between all the tweets between the writer, editor and Greg Ellis' tweet that he took down) it's suggested that it could be Cullen.

Tonia Laird. I think she wrote Hawke's cousin in DA2.
*Edit* And the editors name is Cori May.

Ah, interesting that they would switch up the writers again that way. Like Parmida said, Jennifer Hepler wrote him in DA2 and Sheryl Chee wrote him in DA:O. I guess that's their typical MO?LolaLei wrote...

I remember when you posted the editor's tweets, Lola, and I totally agree with your interpretation of it being Greg Ellis's session. So, do we know then that Tonia Laird was the writer for that session, then? Is that why it's thought she would be writing Cullen?
I'm going to start calling you SuperSleuth!

Firstly I noticed Tonia Laird making a few tweets about a characters script/story she's writing. At first I thought nothing of it:
ToniaLaird: "It's so much easier to get a voice down right when you base it off of someone you know/knew. Once again you come to my rescue grandpa." -10/08/12
ToniaLaird: "ARGH! Good thing I save a lot. Or this crash would have made me all stabby and such." - 12/08/12
ToniaLaird: "ARGH! StopcrashingStopcrashingStopcrashingStopcrashingStopcrashing!" - 12/08/12
ToniaLaird: "Argh. Half a conversation left to polish, but it feels like 1000 little knives are stabbing my eyes. Home time." - 13/08/12
Several days later Cori May (the editor) tweets about Tonia's script that she's editing for her:
CoriMay: "Now that the writer has told me she's basing this character on her grandfather, I feel bad making googly eyes at him while I edit #editrix" - 15/08/12
CoriMay: "Alone in the (not-so) dark, editing my dream character #editrix" - 16/08/12
CoriMay: "Sitting in the office alone, speaking lines out loud. In an English accent. Because that's how I roll. #editrix #crunch #practicingaccents" - 16/08/12
CoriMay: "Okay, I think I'm done talking to myself for the night #editrix #crunch" - 16/08/12
Meanwhile Tonia tweets about a VO session on the Friday:
ToniaLaird: "So looking foward to the VO session on Friday! #WritersPit" - 16/08/12
*Name removed*: "EEEEEE. I'm guessing you can't tell us who it is? LOLOL" - 16/08/12
ToniaLaird: "Haha, no, unfortunately, I can't. My first session, though! Kinda nervous!" - 16/08/12
*Name removed*: "Voice over?" - 16/08/12
ToniaLaird: "It's my first session with an actor. It's pretty exciting!" - 16/08/12
In the following tweet to a fan she points out that she's sat in on other peoples VO sessions before, but this is the first time she's sat in on a session for a character she's written:
*Name removed*: "You guys get to sit in on those? That must be so awesome!" - 16/08/12
ToniaLaird: "This is my first session, so I'm a bit nervous. I've sat in on others, it's pretty cool to hear the writing come to life!" - 16/08/12
On the day of the VO session she appears to miss it (unsure if she arrived late or was early and got to sit in on it):
ToniaLaird: "Found it! But the wrong time was put up on the board, so I sat-- alone-- and sad-- in the booth. Alone. And sad." - 17/08/12 (Friday)
Cori May also tweets about sitting in on the same VO session:
CoriMay: "Today I get to listen to more voice acting, for the character I'm most excited about. And you should be too." - 17/08/12 (Friday)
CoriMay: "So, so dreamy. Just sayin', is all." - 17/08/12 (Friday)
CoriMay: "I love how British voice actors get so very charming and sweet when they get muddled" - 17/08/12 (Friday)
Now, whilst Cori May is tweeting/squeeing about this voice actors VO session, Greg Eliis posts this:

Less than an hour later, he deletes both the tweet and the picture.
Now, obviously Cori May doesn't go into detail about how long she had been editing Tonia's script, but from the way she was talking it did seem like it had been longer than just the time scale in which those tweets took place, which would indicate that it's at least a sizable NPC part, if not a full companion/LI position. Also, I'm not sure if Cori would have been quite so excited about the "character" if it was just a small part. Squeeing generally entails some sort of romantic-esq dialogue or "White Knight" behaviour to set a fan girl off with just script alone. That being said, it's highly possible that they had more than one voice actor in that day (although none of the other writers or devs tweeted about there being more than one session happening.) At first I was unsure whether or not Cori's tweet stating "Today I get to listen to more voice acting, for the character I'm most excited about." was about the voice actor coming back into the the studio to continue recording dialogue, or if she meant that she'd sat in on a session before for a different character, but today she was sitting in on a session for the character she likes the most. BUT once I thought about it some more, she was still editing her "dream character" that was based on Tonia's grandpa long after she had sat in on the previous VO session, plus Greg Ellis had already confirmed to us that same week that he had a VO session booked with Bioware, but was unsure at the time whether or not it would be for Cullen (which he later clarified for us in the tweet he took down.)
But yuh, that's how I came to the conclusion that there's a strong chance that Cullen will indeed be a companion/LI. I just hope I'm not wrong. *Fingers crossed*

Thanks for posting all that, it brought my hopes up higher than they were. It sounds like he will be a companion, I mean, who else could they be talking about?
I still don't like to get my hopes up too high, but it certainly looks like we stand a higher chance of getting him than we originally thought. Especially if that leaked concept art turns out to be true.

I'm all for getting my hopes high, lol, gives me something to do. If it is Cullen that they are Squeeing/Talking about, it sounds like he won't be all "templar this, templar that, rawr, templars!" which is a "woohoo" from me.
